1963 Chevrolet Corvair

You are looking at a 1963 Corvair coupe. It has all the badging for the turbo model, but is just the 95 horsepower naturally-aspirated version, not the 140hp. Runs and drives very well. Engine was rebuilt less than 3000 miles ago, and has zero fluid-leaks whatsoever. Transmission and clutch are tight. No slippage or rough shifts. It's a 20 footer. Looks perfect from 20 feet away, but up close has dings, dents, and paint blemishes, plus rust under the front and rear bumper pans. The entire floor-pan was recently replaced. Still, it gets constant thumbs ups wherever I go with it. Modern PT Cruiser seats and seat-belts. All the glass is good. Brakes work well, steering alignment is straight as an arrow, All the lights and turn signals work (you gotta wiggle the headlight switch a bit to make 'em come on, but they definitely work). Newer modern Mazda windshield-wiper motor. Brand new period-correct bias-ply whitewall-tires. Chrome reverse wheels with smoothie baby-moon hubcaps. I would trust this vehicle to drive anywhere on the Continent at a moment's notice. Extremely reliable. Air cooled, though, so not much for a heater in Winter. We shouldn't be driving classic-cars in the cold/salt anyway. Does great donuts in the snowy parking-lots though with all that un-swung engine weight in the rear-end. Can't mention that without saying how much Ralph Nader hated these cars. Ole' Futty duddy he is.

These are fun cars, they get very good fuel economy, and are still sporty and spry. This thing gets up and goes like something with a V-8 under the hood, except it's a flat 6 under the deck-lid/boot. Great styling, and a good looking car. Priced right, and I require a $500 deposit within 5 days of listing's end. Remainder to be paid for within 10 days whether picked up or not.
