Up for sale is our 1949 chevy pick up truck! I bought this truck a while ago to use for advertising my business and driving it around my local dirt roads to the trout streams by my farm. It runs and drives good enough for back dirt roads/moving it around etc but needs the finishing touches to make it a drive anywhere truck. The 216 engine runs good and starts right up. Once in a while if cold I have to prime it or flutter the gas a bit while driving it. Probablycould use the carb to be cleaned a bit or rebuilt. The truck did not overheat the short drives I used it etc. The 4 speed on the floor shifted all gears like it should. Clutch is good. The brakes stop the truck but you have to pump them up a bit to make it stop better. I would recommend updating the brakes to use it all of the time. The windows go up and down okay, you have to help them up and down sometimes. The windshield and door glass looks good. The rear window is complete but has cracks in it. The bed is a plywood sheet and solid for using it, but you may want to put a bed kit in it. The Visor on the truck looks awesome. The headlights were not working, I never fixed them as I used it during the day only. The tires are older farm type tires, they hold air and are usable but are showing weather check etc. The body looks pretty solid. there is some minor small rust spots here and there as I elected to leave it original. The cab corner on the passenger side was repaired at one time before I got it, the driver side is good. The kick panels have a rust hole starting. The fenders and cab and box looks good overall. Again, I left it original. make sure to watch the video and study the pics so you can get a good gauge on the overall shape of the body etc. Really solid overall in my opinion for not being restored. The interior cab looks good. the seat is complete but the original upholstry is mostly missing, I used a seat cover that is on the springs and worked good for what I used it for. The floor looks solid. I do not want to over call this truck or undercall it, this generation of chevy pick up trucks are getting harder and harder to find. watch the video, check out the pics, and please call me with questions. 563 568 1186.
