Vehicle Details

My father had bought this 1962 Chevrolet Bel Air new in Salinas, CA. Everything is original! My mother and I became co-owners after my father passed away, but since she didn't drive, I became the only driver of this car to this day. I also assumed sole ownership of the vehicle when my mother transferred the full title to me a few years before she passed away. The car has been garage-kept for nearly 60 years. While no longer parked inside a garage, it is still well-covered, and protected from the elements in a covered car port since I brought it down to Southern California 6 months ago. After sitting non-operational (with all fluids drained) for nearly 24 years, it had been fully restored in 2019, including: Thorough clean up, complete tune up, replacement of the radiator, carburetor, fuel tank, fuel lines, water pump, brakes, tires, and headlights. Otherwise no modifications have been made to the vehicle from its original state, aside from the paint restoration of the valve cover to the "GM Blue." Aside from some significant dents on the lower panel of the rear passenger door, a missing heater core, and general wear to the carpets, this classic is in otherwise great condition. There is negligible rust, and it runs so well it can easily be a daily driver. Since its restoration in 2019, the car has been run regularly a few times a month for maintenance, including some highway driving where it just glides effortlessly. Pull up the antenna, and once the radio warms up, crank up the oldies AM radio station and enjoy a true, 60s cruising experience.
