1957 Chevrolet Belair Hot Rod Coupe
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210
Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210.Selling my 1957 Chevrolet Belair Sports Coupe. Car is from Eastern Kentucky which was brought to Illinois in 1977 and sat in a cold storage building until April 2014 when I bought it.At that time, miles on the odometer read 64,984. The Kentucky owner modified it in the late 1960s into a little hot rod.
Those modification included the installation of a 1963 327Chevy engine with a 4bbl carb. The car was painted black, interior was recovered with creamy yellow & black seat covers and door panels, the 3-speed manual column shifter was moved to the floor with a shifter installed, two under dash gauges were installed, 14 x 6” mag wheels which are dated coded 1967 were installed with white lettered Firestone Wide Oval tires with inner tubes.
I since April of 2014 I have made many improvements. I’m not going to go into the details here, but the major ones were the installation of a 4-bolt main 350 Chevy engine with a 4bbl carb., a 4-speed transmission with Hurst shifter, new springs, new brakes, four new radial tires, new fuel tank, new shocks, modern radio and speakers etc. Car has now 76,000 + miles. It’s been my daily driver since retired and is very dependable, everything works. Over the years, since the 60s, the paint has chips, scratches and even flacking in some areas. This never bothered me, people love it. I have a clean Illinois title in my name. Looking for a good home.
