Hello fellow ebayer’sHere I have a 1973 Chevrolet K5 Blazer purchased from 3rd owner. Was parked in 2008 and hasn’t left the driveway until this last July. I’ve gone through the whole truck to make it mechanically functional. I’ve done everything necessary to make this truck street legal and drivable. All lights work, turn signals, brake lights, running lights, high/low beams, license plate light, and even emergency flashers. Wipers work but are slow. Truck only has a heater and is currently not working but I’ve not looked into it yet. I’ve taken the top off to enjoy the rest of the summer. Or while I have it. This is a very fun truck and if I didn’t have my 51 I would keep it.NEW PARTS ARE AS FOLLOWSBrakes have been completely gone throughRear drums turned new cylinders and shoesBrake fluid flushedRotors turned new padsBearings cleaned and re-packedNew front rubber brake linesRear differential drained and wheel seals replaced and fresh gear oil added.ENGINENew crate 350 was installed June 1999 recipt shows odometer at 40133, it currently sits at 47407 at the time of this posting. I drive this Blazer on a daily basis to work and around town. My kids really enjoy riding in it. When I started working on the engine I properly prep it before starting it up. Fresh oil and filter lube combustion chaimber, and prime engine with oil pump priming tool shown in engine tear down picture. I’ve replaced intake and valve cover gaskets. Note how clean the inside of the engine is. Also a sign of low mileage.NEW PARTS ARE AS FOLLOWSReplaced points distributor with new HEI distributorNew spark plugs and wiresValve cover gaskets and intake gaskets.Rebuilt Carter carburetor (Same as Edelbrock) with electronic choke.New fuel filtersNew Edelbrock electronic fuel pump (frame mounted)Fuel take and lines flushed and cleaned outNew antifreezeNew altinatorPower steering flushedNew air cleaner assemblyNew batteryNew 31x10.50R15 tiresI am only selling this truck because I am currently doing a frame off restoration on a 1951 Chevrolet truck. And I want to keep my focus on that project and also fund it. Pictures of the frame and engine of the 51 are included, this truck will also be up for sale at completion of the project, and yes I do this sort of work on the regular.
