Description:

1987 Chevrolet C20 Custom Deluxe

Up for auction at NO RESERVE (meaning the highest bid wins this truck) is a 1987 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe C20, ¾-ton pickup truck. Truck is fairly complete, but I am auctioning off as a project vehicle. This is a New Mexico truck. Has original steel wheels, good used tires, original dog dish hubcaps. It also has the original GM bench seat, steering column, etc. It is powered by a small block Chevrolet, which I believe to be a GM 350 (5.7L) mated to either a GM400 or GM350 TH transmission. I have not checked the casting numbers on the block or the transmission, but I do believe this is a 350. The engine is missing a carburetor, distributor, alternator, fan clutch/fan, and spark plug wires, but it sports and Edelbrock aluminum manifold, aftermarket headers (brand unknown), and Erson chrome valve covers. Power steering pump is present, as is brake booster. The truck has steel drums in rear and disc braking in front, power brakes. Parking brake appears to work. Hood is in good shape and not bent down the middle like earlier variants. It is missing instrument cluster, but surrounding plastic trim is present. It has a blue interior and all windows are in good shape (windshield is cracked, but appears completely waterproof). Truck has a sliding rear window. The bed is in good condition and someone has painted a US flag motif on the tailgate, which I think makes this truck look cool.

The truck also has a reinforced bed for a fifth wheel attachment/hitch, plus trailer electrical provisions. Bed is in good condition and solid. Rear fenders/quarters are decent. The rocker panels on both sides need to be replaced, but the truck stands and sits decently. The truck has a CLEAR title, ready for transfer. VIN is 1GCFR24K8HF308923. No keys are included, but the truck is all keyed the same. As well, the ignition lock is not locked, so truck steers and rolls and shifts. Truck’s rear bumper is equipped for hauling; truck is long bed, but not a 4X4. Original matting is in the truck; floors appear solid.

Truck has a low starting bid and if that’s all it goes for, then so be it. Grill is nice and it still is very solid for its age. Contact me for questions around other specifics that I may have missed. Truck is located in El Paso, TX, area code 79938 and buyer will have to arrange pickup or 3rd party delivery. I may be able to deliver up to 200 miles for $1.50 per loaded mile (diesel is $5 per gallon and gasoline is $4).

Good luck bidding. Again, highest bidder wins this truck.
