Hard to find 1957 Chevy 2 door hardtop no post.
Purchased in 2021 and started restoration my boyfriend passed away in Nov 2021 and I don't have it in me to finish anymore.
Pictures show the car now and what it looked like when we first bought it
She's been taken apart bead blasted, most of the body works been done it's been put in primer and sealed due to the fact that it was bare metal. There's no rust in the floorboards or in the trunk is a solid car the motor starts and runs.
283 motor the transmission is a 2-speed Powerglide in a old cast-iron case. It goes forward but I can't get it to go in reverse? I never got a chance to take it to the transmission shop to get it fixed.
New exhaust system installed
I have 95 to 98% of all the Chrome, + the hardware 2 Bumpers the 3-piece cone bumper and the solid California bumper. The seats are original and have the original material on them but will need to be recovered. We were just going to throw a seat covers over until we could have it done. The windshield wipers, radio, head lights etc. work fine when we took it apart and I'm sure it still will.
I have all the window glass even though it doesn't show it in the pictures one of the back side windows does have a crack.
