Description:
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210
This is a real Bel Air V-8 that has had extensive custom work. The body was off the frame. Features include air conditioning, power steering and disc brakes.EXTERIOR: It's a good looking Bel Air. Straight body, beautiful paint and bright trim. The body is straight and fits nice. It does have some custom body fabrication. The hood rockets and emblems were removed and filled. The door handles were shaved and filled smooth. The rear trunk lock and emblems were shaved and filled. The doors open by remote. It is like looking into a mirror. The midnight green paint is very polished and glossy. The stainless trim must all be new. The moldings down the sides, the tail fin moldings, trim around all the windows looks new. In front the majority of the chrome looks new, the hood bar looks to be good original. The rear is a combination of new and very good chrome. It has LED tail lights and it also has optional reverse lights. You might not have noticed but the vent windows have been removed and it has a solid piece of door glass. All the glass in the car is new and it is smoked. It rolls on a new set of 15 inch of American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. Tires look new as well. The door jambs are clean, weather strips replaced.
INTERIOR: Inside the car is all custom upholstered in green pleated vinyl. New cloth headliner and visors. The cloth welting around the door opening is new. The dash is refabricated. The controls, radio, vents have been removed, filled and painted smooth. The controls are now neatly hidden out of sight below the dash. It does have a set of digital gauges and they are all functioning. I drove it and the gauges all worked, has good oil pressure, ran cool etc. It also has a tilt column with a deluxe LeCara steering wheel.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Late 60s 327 motor. Runs great. Upgraded with aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb, Accel distributor and headers. Dressed up with chrome alternator and finned Mickey Thompson valve covers. It features power steering, electric wipers and a recent heat and air conditioning system. Chrome horns, dual reservoir master cylinder, stainless braided trans dipstick, new fan. It looks pretty proper and complete.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Opens with a pull cable under the bumper. It has been carpeted.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame, bushings look new. The frame is smooth and solid. The floors look solid. It has upgraded sway bars front and back. The bottom of the motor is clean, has the flywheel cover, starter looks recent. It has a clean looking Turbo 350 automatic trans. The front end has been checked, ball joint boots and shocks look recent. It's upgraded with disc brakes in front. The e-brake cables are hooked up. It has a custom stainless fuel tank. The dual exhaust sounds great.
