1971 Chevrolet El Camino not SSStunning 1971 Chevrolet El Camino, identical to the one used on the cover of the '71 dealer brochure. Only 22K original miles. All orig, unrestored, 100% unmolested, 100% numbers matching, 100% perfect body, near perfect orig paint, with build sheet, orig owners manual, and orig sales brochure. It has been garaged from day one, only had two mature adult owners and is a true benchmark / thoroughbred survivor in every sense of the meaning. One of the absolute best unrestored all original survivor El Caminos (or '60s thru 70s collector cars) to exist anywhere, bar none. Even the paint in the pickup bed portion of this vehicle is original and is in beautiful show worthy condition. This vehicle appears original down to it's factory assembly line installed plug wires, dist cap, coil, points, hoses, clamps, factory assembly line markings, over spray, undercoating, orig untouched carb, orig radiator, orig Uniroyal spare tire that has never touched the ground, complete jack assembly with orig jacking instructions, orig vinyl top, all orig chrome, weatherstriping, suspension springs still have the factory assembly line part number tags on them, the original factory air shocks are still present and functional, etc.. and of course the biggy for survivors-100% all orig paint and near flawless perfect original interior. Under the dash still looking like brand new with all the items having correct original factory applied finishes and tags. The only known non-functioning item is the AM radio stopped working. You will be extremely impressed with how the doors, tailgate, windows, switches, etc all still operate just as new on day #1. A real joy and amazing car to drive with power steering, power disc brakes, responsive smooth running 350c.i. V8, automatic trans, and working A/C updated to R34. This vehicle absolutely drives just like you would expect a brand new 1971 El Camino to drive because it virtually is! The factory original single exhaust was still present until recently and now upgraded to a dual exhaust system (see picture). I took the undercarriage pics when it was on the rack for the exhaust upgrade prior to the single exhaust system coming off, so all the pics are current and you can see the original exhaust that was on it. This El Camino is literally like going back in time to 1971 and buying a car that is literally only few months old with super low miles. No rust, no accidents, no body paint touch-ups, no issues, no reproduction parts, no disappointments, no stories, and no excuses. Truly fitting for a high end museum or collection piece. This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity to own one of, if not possibly THE FINEST SURVIVOR '71 EL CAMINO OR EVEN CHEVROLET VEHICLE TO EXIST FROM THAT ERA. Even if you spent $80+K to make a vehicle look this nice using NOS parts, it would not be a thoroughbred level vehicle like this one as this one has all original factory assembly line parts plus YOU CAN NOT REPRODUCE ORIGINAL!!!! This vehicle truly is in phenomenal condition for being a 50 year old 100% ORIGINAL SURVIVOR vehicle and it really doesn't get any better than this.
The vehicle is located about 10 miles north of Atlanta GA and inspections are welcomed and important as you are responsible for determining and satisfying yourself as to the vehicles condition. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time for any reason whether the reserve gets met or not.
NOTE: Keep an eye out for my next auction: a very low mile, number matching, very original, factory 70 Cuda 383 convertible that I will be listing very soon.
