Within the storied Corvette family, the C3 Generation had a 14 year run, and this particular car falls right in at the end of the generation. Design changes over the years such as bumpers, wheels, taillights, grilles, and exhaust setups gave each iteration a slightly different look. Eagle eyed Corvette fans will immediately know that this is a later generation car which has smoother design elements compared to the early metal bumper cars.
These Corvettes that were built in the latter part of the C3 Generation are starting to gain more attention in the collector market, after all they are about 40 years old now. Rewind...yes, this car is 40 years old! Totally off putting for those of us who remember the posters or school folders we had that featured late C3 Vettes. (The pictures often-times included smoke machines, lasers, and lightning bolts...but that's another story.) A 40 year old car or not, this is a cool car that can be had for not a lot of dough.
The familiar curvy lines of the C3 Corvette are covered in the factory correct Frost Beige (code 59) over Tan, or as Corvette called it "Doeskin" (code 592) interior. It's a very neutral color combination compared to the red, yellow, or blue Corvettes of the same year. The neutral color combination doesn't change the fact that this Vette is a fun car, especially fun since it has a 350ci V8 and a 4-speed manual transmission.
The interior looks to be highly original and does display some wear and tear in the places that it would be expected. The seats, carpeting, and the center console are spots where we can see some wear, but those are the places that get the most abuse inside the car. The interior is tidy with all trim pieces, gauges, door handles, and switches being present. A Pioneer stereo head unit has been added to the otherwise original interior. Turn your childhood postercar dreams into a reality with this Vette! This is a vintage sports car that's ready for fun and many more years of enjoyment.
