Description:
1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
This one is a sweetheart! 69,300 original, unabused miles. Stated as actual on title and the car speaks for itself. It functions like new. Smooth, no rattles, squeaks or wind leaks. All the lights work throughout. The body is amazing. #s all match, has original build sheet and literature. We just rebuilt the motor.EXTERIOR: This body is about as nice as you'll find on any old car. All of the metal is absolutely straight, clean, dry rust free. Every panel fits perfectly square and flush, even where the hood meets the headlight bezels is spot on. The doors and trunk sound like a new car when you close them. Repainted it's original antique white color. It has a very smooth, glossy finish. The jambs are glossy, bottom of the doors are clean. New weather strips. The front bumper has been rechromed and has bumper guards. The grill, hood ornament and headlight bezels are excellent. The stainless is straight and shiny. The rear bumper is nice original, has some freckling. The windshield, actually all the glass is crystal clear. The vinyl top is in excellent condition. It has 15 inch rally wheels with BFGoodrich tires, all in excellent shape.
INTERIOR: It is an extremely well kept all original interior. Original carpet, has Chevy floormats. The upholstery, door panels and headliner pretty much look new and they are original. There is a seam slightly pulling apart at the seam on the driver seat. The dash area is all very clean. The woodgrain isn't worn, dash pad is not cracked, vents and heater controls are clean. The interior, glovebox and dash lights all work. There are some cracks in the steering wheel. Two gauges were mounted neatly below the dash. It has all the GM seat belts. It has a replacement 8-track stereo and actually sounds great.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Just rebuilt! We just had the original #s matching motor professionally rebuilt less then 50 miles ago. It was bored 30 over, got a rebuild kit and valve job. It has a fresh coat of orange paint. It has all the stock manifolds, valve covers and even the complete air cleaner assembly. It still has the heat riser tube going down to the exhaust manifold. The 4-barrel carburetor is rebuilt. The brackets are all clean. The alternator looks new. The air conditioning compressor has been replaced, and it is updated to R134 freon. It has power steering and power brakes. The hoses, fan and shroud look good. An overflow bottle was added. The underhood light works, battery is bolted down, washers are hooked up.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has perfectly dry, clean metal. No patches. It has the factory quarter panels, I didn't see any seams or splices. The bottom of the trunk lid and jamb is glossy. The weather strip, decal and trunk mat look new. The trunk light works. It has a rally wheel spare and the jack assembly.
UNDERSIDE: Bottom of the motor is still brand new looking. It has new starter, fuel pump and oil filter. It has it's original vin # matching Turbo 350 automatic. Original 12 bolt rear end. It has a custom stainless dual exhaust system with Borla mufflers. The metal looks like it is clean and dry original. Even the lower inner quarters and rockers have no rust, never did. It has disc brakes in front, the calipers and hoses look new. It has swaybars front and back.
I drove this car home, it is real nice. I'm very impressed by this car, especially with the body. Ready for show and go!
