1967 Chevrolet Chevelle

Chevelles are a cornerstone of the hobby, and if you like to stand out, nothing works better than bright red paint and a big V8 engine. This great-driving, killer-looking 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle is one of those cars that's easy to love and a lot of fun to own.
There's a purity to the early Chevelles that the later cars don't quite manage to capture. No stripes, no wings, no superfluous aftermarket badges, just a big honkin' engine in arguably the most popular A-body ever made. The ultra-clean shape is helped in this car's case by the vivid bright red paint, which was obviously a popular color spectrum when this Chevelle was new and even more so today. The paint job was done not long ago and sticks to the original formula, and given that this car has always been well-maintained and treated as something special, the bodywork underneath is quite good. It does have a few signs that the car has been driven, of course, and it's not perfect, but if you like to cruise with a high profile, few cars can do it better. Vented inserts in the hood add a touch of sportiness, while the black vinyl roof is a little sophisticated – both working together to form a fine representation of this legendary classic. The chrome bumpers look great and the brightwork is likely in restored original condition and shines up perfectly against the red paint, and even though it's not a real SS, it looks like one with proper badges, the front grille, and 'Super Sport' script on the quarters. Top driver-grade muscle never looked so appealing!
Black vinyl buckets with a console-mounted automatic between them mean this car was built right. The upholstery is in great condition with handsome high-back buckets trimmed in black vinyl and door panels that match. The carpets are so nice we have to believe they've been recently replaced. The original gauges in the dash are in fantastic shape and this car includes Bosch auxiliary gauges down below the dash and a tachometer strapped to the steering column, and a fan favorite – a clock integrated into the center console. An upgraded retro-style AM/FM/AUX stereo has been fitted in the dash and yes, this interior is as comfortable as it looks. The spatter-painted trunk is also in great shape, needing nothing more than a larger reproduction mat to look right, and currently housing a full size spare tire and jack set.
Big performance comes from a very strong 454 cubic inch V8 nestled neatly into the tidy engine bay. There's plenty of power on tap thanks to an Edelbrock intake and Edelbrock Performer 4-barrel carburetor, HEI distributor, and a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner. The matching Moroso chrome valve covers are similar to what came as standard equipment on the SS and inside the bright red engine bay they look awesome. You can see where the real money was spent on this SS tribute. Power steering and power front disc brakes are always welcome in a car with a big block, and combined with the quick shifting TH400 automatic transmission it feels quick and agile out on the street. Long-tube headers and a rumbling Flowmaster dual exhaust system highlights a very sanitary chassis which isn't restored to national show standards but is the kind of clean that you like to show off at your local car show. Out back, a rugged 12-bolt rear plants the torque and it rolls on handsome American Racing Torque Thrust 'Old Style' wheels with 235/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear blackwall radials.
