1986 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster

This 1986 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster is truly a unique build. After all, it has the fully open street machine appeal of customs like the T-buckets. But since this is based on a C4 Corvette, you also get fuel-injected power, four-wheel disc brakes, a fully independent suspension, and other desirable performance features.
The look of this is unmistakably a classic hot rod. It has the upright grille, chassis-mounted headlights, engine on display, smooth-side cab, and the square rear deck. But this is also clearly its own custom build that gives hints at where its Corvette roots are. The flames down the side originate in a little fender vent pleat that's reminiscent of the modern 'Vettes, and the side pipes are the kind of things you got on big power C2s and C3s. Plus, the quad taillight package is a hallmark of nearly every generation. And our favorite are the C6 Corvette Z06-style polished alloys that add both style and performance.
As a true roadster, this one stays open to the world. So they made sure to keep it quite attractive with a full custom interior. The exterior red returns for a smooth look, and now it's joined by a tasteful black and tan. One of the benefits of using a C4 Corvette chassis is that it's wider than most T-buckets. That means the room to put in late-model bucket seat with plenty of wide bolstering. There's even room for a center console in-between. So you and you passenger really get individual space. You even have the added comfort of an AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth and a USB to plug in your phone. But just like any good hot rod, the focus is on driving. You have a wood-rimmed sports steering wheel on a tilt column, and beyond that is a digital gauge package that glows a cool red to match the car. The four-speed automatic is on a floor shift. And in the center of the dash, is a full EFI controller that tells you the motor is truly something special.
No matter if it's a T-bucket or a Corvette, it's always great to see a small block on display. The polished presentation of the valve covers, air grabber, intakes, and more make it a worthy hot rod. But what you'll really appreciate is the substance beyond the flash. It's a 350 cubic-inch crate motor that runs like it was built with a rotating assembly and more aggressive camshaft. Plus, there are aluminum heads and shorty headers feeding those side pipes. It's topped with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection lets you dial-in your ideal performance through the controller on the console. This has the right supporting pieces, like an aluminum radiator w/electric fan, upgraded pulleys, MSD ignition, Milodon oil pan, and the fuel cell and battery are over the rear for better weight distribution. Those are the kinds of extras you get in a driver's car, and that's exactly what this custom build is all about. After all, a T-bucket usually comes with a very basic suspension. Instead, this one keeps the Corvette components underneath to deliver a fully independent sports suspension, power steering, and four-wheel disc brakes. And those modern ZR-rated tires stick to the road like glue. So you get a serious fast custom build with awesome handling.
This is a unique build, and the sale even comes with a photo book documenting its creation. So if you love a car that you can both drive on you favorite back roads and attract attention wherever you park, you know this one does it all. Call today!!!
