This is the first year after World War II that Chevrolet started making trucks again. It was totally retooled and called the New Advanced Design, created by Harley Earl (Designer of the Corvette).
I have owned this truck for 10 years. When I got it, it was in pretty rough shape. I have either repaired, rebuilt ore replaced every working item on the truck. I have used the same mechanic for all work. The first thing we did was pull the engine and sent it out for a complete rebuild. It had 3,000 miles since then. Cooling system like new. Transmission rebuilt and new clutch. Brakes rebuilt. All new electric harness.Suspension rebuilt. Carb. rebuilt. New tires, battery, radiator, many small parts.
It's not overly complicated. Everything works and it is a lot of fun to drive around town. Cruises at 50-60 mph. Runs at 190 degrees without a problem.
