Description:

1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210

We just acquired 3 cars from from the estate of a well respected collector. He owned this car since 1995. It was body off frame restored. He owned a chrome plating business so of course the trim is gleaming! It is a real Bel Air V-8 car, very desirable 2 door hardtop.
EXTERIOR: Factory Crocus yellow- onyx black colors, very sharp in my opinion. Georgia built car, has very clean metal. The body fit and finish is outstanding. The panels line up square and flush. It is laser straight, smooth all along the bottoms too. No rust, no damage. The paint is polished like glass. Every piece of chrome is sparkling. Every piece of stainless was straightened and polished to look like chrome. The flippers above the door windows work. The glass was replaced with a soft tint. Jambs are restored, new weatherstrips. Features include bumper gaurds, stone shields on the front fenders, door handle gaurds and fender skirts. It has white wall tires on painted rims with pristine hubcaps.
INTERIOR: It was completely restored to factory condition. The seats have been recushioned and upholstered. I like the chrome piping. Side panels, headliner, visors were replaced. Dome light works. It has the correct really tight loop carpet. The the dash area is restored like new. The black paint is like glass. The chrome trim is new. Even the heater box is painted, the installation on the firewall was replaced, the mirror is new. Inside the glove box looks new, the light works and it has owner's manual. Upgraded with the Retro stereo.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Restored to factory correct. The 283 has the power pack option with 4 barrel carb. All the components are stock, proper and look fresh. The original carb has the correct choke tube to the manifold, valve covers have Chevrolet script, stock manifolds. The metal has smooth glossy finishes. It features power steering and electric wipers.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean metal has been painted the same smooth glossy black finish as the outside. Has a correct rubber mat. The spare has never been used, the rim is painted yellow. Weatherstrip and seat divider looks new.
UNDERSIDE: Bottom of this car looks real nice. It was frame off restored about 20 years ago. The metal is exceptionally clean and dry. It has been sprayed red oxide primer just like the factory would have done. The chassis has been cleaned and painted black. The front end components were rebuilt at time of restoration. Bottom of the motor is spotless, has the correct canister screw on oil filter. The manual 3-speed has electric overdrive. 3.55 gears in the original rear end. Fuel tank and straps look like new. Replaced exhaust system with glass pack mufflers, emergency brake cables are hooked up.
Only 6,036 miles since restored. This is a quality car. It's more then a good looker, it functions just as well. It was restored by a collector that was passionate about his cars, corners were not cut. Someone will be very happy with this Bel Air!
