1970 Chevrolet C-10 Restomod
We could tell you this 1970 Chevrolet C10 is a mean machine full custom build with less than 30 miles on it, but your eyes already told you that with its first impression. So look over all the details where there were big investments in the suspension, five-speed, stroker V8, and more to make sure this one lives up to its full mean-as-midnight appearance. When your paint is as slick as this one, you don't need chrome. The light shines off of this Chevy like they made black mirrors. And as the sunlight flows the whole body, you're going to see how smooth this really is. The front bumper was eliminated, and a custom grille stretches the over the whole front end to conceal the headlights. All the trim was expertly deleted along the sides. And the full tailgate was smoothed to seem like a seamless single piece (in fact, the taillights are part of a well-hidden LED strip.) It's all part of a very thoughtful and fresh build. We even have receipts documenting the thousands $$$$$ spent at builder Forge Speed within the last few months. And because this is a professional North Carolina speed shop, they know how to give this a true NASCAR style. You see it in the racecar side exit exhaust and custom spoiler on the tailgate. Those extra wide tires are mounted on true Aero stock car wheels with a cool dayglow yellow to provide a hint of color to this midnight stalker.
If the exterior didn't already tell you this one wasn't for the faint of heart, the competition-ready interior will certainly get the message through. Toggle switches, Hurst floor shifter, and a push-button ignition will make the start of every journey feel like you're leaving the Talladega pits. The Longacer aluminum racing wheel with thick center pad and power steering is both stylish and race-ready. Plus, your gauge package has been upgraded to a full set of Intellitronix readouts. They have a hint of yellow that matches the Aero wheels, and it's another reminder of the thoughtfulness of this build. The late-model high-back bucket seat provides superior bolstering, and there's a passenger seat in case you want to bring someone along for the fun.
Under the hood is truly a dark heart of power. The black inner walls of the engine bay lead to a black block with black Edelbrock valve covers and a black air topper. This motor is a 383 cubic-inch stroke V8 built with a big cam set for high compression. It includes Edelbrock aluminum heads, a polished Edelbrock Performer Air Gap intake, and topped with a Holley double-pumper race-style four-barrel carburetor. It's also supported by the right stout equipment, like an MSD ignition, new alternator, new water pump, Earl's braided fuel lines, and an aluminum radiator. The headers add extra power while also feeding the thundering sound of the NASCAR-style boom tube pipes. And this Chevy earns its authoritative tone considering the builder estimates this at 485 horsepower. The Borg Warner T5 five-speed manual transmission puts you in firm control of all the action, and that feeds an upgraded 12-bolt 3.73 Positraction rear end. You've got fresh bushings, a thick front sway bar, power front disc brakes, and a trailing arm rear suspension with CPP upgrades. So this is big power with the right equipment to handle it.
This fresh build is pure intimidation. You know you can't let something this cool and unique slip away. Call now!
