1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this fully restored 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Restomod for your consideration. This Camaro features a 520ci V8 motor which is mated to a built TCI Turbo 350 automatic transmission with trans brake and stall. This motor features a Demon carburetor, braided stainless steel fuel lines with pressure gauge, aluminum comp heads/intake, and 3-inch exhaust and headers. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 12 bolt posi-traction rear end with aluminum cover. Needless to say, this is a beast of an automobile with an awesome powerplant that produces a reported 740 horsepower on 93 octane pump gasoline.
The exterior of this spectacular Camaro is finished in a beautiful coat of Hugger Orange paint which is complemented by black racing stripes along the body. It rides on 5-spoke American Racing wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich street tires. During the frame-off restoration process, it is obvious that the powerplant was heavily improved, what is less obvious is that the suspension was also upgraded. This American icon rides on a Cal Track professional race suspension and QA1 adjustable shocks. It features power brakes as well to bring this vehicle to a stop from lighting quick speeds.
The interior remains nearly untouched with the exception of console gauges that help monitor engine performance and health. Within the black vinyl interior, a Hurst shifter with reverse manual valve body can be found along with the stock chrome trim throughout. Making the drive comfortable is a complete Vintage Air air conditioning system. This is a fully built Camaro resto-mod that has had plenty of money poured into the build. Everything from the body, paint, suspension, and drivetrain has been professionally restored to make this awesome automobile. The selling owner also notes that this Camaro has run a 9.98 ¼ mile.
The 1969 redesign gave the Camaro a longer, lower look with squared wheelhouses and new detailing inside and out. Because of these updates, style, and performance, the 1969 model year is the most desired Camaro for collectors. The style is so popular that the new run of Camaro's share many of the same design cues to revive the line. First-generation Camaro's are a classic muscle car that will never go out of style.
