1974 Chevrolet 3500 with Service Body - 7400 Actual Miles
All original Chevy truck. This truck was used by a small town fire department for many years. The fire department bought it new and had it equipt with the service body in 1974 at a cost of $1900. The truck was retired from the fire department and then was used by the same town government for somewhat of a maintenance truck for the town. The mileage of 7400 miles is correct. It was serviced regularly by the fire dept. and the municipality that owned it. The truck was ultimately sold to a city official and was used on his property, mostly for storage. I bought this truck a while back and it has been stored inside since I bought it. The truck is not rusty, the only rust that I can find is around the base of the seat on both sides. It is not rusted through. It is surface only. The only dent on the truck is at the front of the passenger fender as shown in one of the photos. The hood need some adjustment or new hinges. I have not forced on the hood as to not bend the hood. The seat would need to be recovered. The truck has not been washed for the photos. I'm just leaving it as it is for the new owner. The truck is not perfect as it is 46 years old. It is a cool old truck that would make a great shop truck or an advertising truck. The service body is super solid and has absolutley no rust, its just faded like the cab.
