Description:
1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS Restomod
Take some time to go over all the details of this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS Restomod, because they sure took the time to go over the details when building it. This is a real-deal Rally Sport with amazing paint, terrific lines, a clean/comfy A/C interior, four-wheel disc brakes, a six-speed stick, and a fuel-injected LS1 heart. The moment you spot this coupe, you know it's an award-worthy custom build. It was completed only about 200 miles ago, and we're told the cost was over $80k. That's how you get such a vibrant and professional application of Chevy's iconic Hugger Orange paint. There was a serious eye for smoothness in the build. Straight body panels, well-aligned details, and expertly deleted trim let the light dance across the first-year Camaro's iconic curves. This is a real-deal RS, so it earns that awesome hidden headlight front end. That dark treatment coordinated with the chin spoiler and exceptional black vinyl roof gives a timeless contrast to the vibrant orange. Wraparound bumpers, thin window trim, and full rockers give you some nice brightwork. But the shine you might notice the most are those 17-inch Billet Specialties wheels. Those modern alloys with an extra meaty set in the rear signal this one has a serious modern power upgrade within.
All the black accenting on the outside get you ready for the black interior. Plus, the white streak of the deluxe trim in the seats breaks up the darkness nicely. It has a cool classic look, right down to the thin/grippy three-spoke RS sports steering wheel. But as you look closer, you really start to notice some well-integrated upgrades. For example, the stereo has the classic knob-style look, but it's a modern unit with a digital AM/FM tuner and Bluetooth. Above that are controls for cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. The deeply recessed gauges now house Dakota Digital units that give you a full readout package. And have you counted the gears on the Hurst short-throw shifter yet?
The motor is something you're going to want to display, and so they made sure the engine bay was ready for primetime. Clean inner walls, a custom slam panel, and a tidy setup look terrific. We especially love the custom covers that mimic vintage Chevy valve covers while also color-matching to rest of the orange. And the Corvette script hints at where this power really comes from. It's a fuel-injected 5.7-liter LS1 V8 borrowed from a 2002 Corvette (only about 22k miles on the engine when installed.) This modern powerhouse has been upgraded further with a cold air intake, BBK 80mm throttle body, an aluminum radiator with electric fans, and Hustler long tube headers feeding the dual exhaust. It's an awesome power house that you have full control over with a T56 six-speed manual transmission featuring a McLeod hydraulic clutch. This feeds a stout Eaton Positraction rear end. As you look over the whole build, you'll find more great features, like the Detroit Speed A-arm front end, power steering, CPP four-wheel drilled & slotted disc brakes w/Wilwood master cylinder, and modern performance tires.
This build is powerful, awesome, fresh, and complete...and it's all up for grabs. So don't miss out, call today!
