California built car, Van Nuys Plant

1 of8,733 Z28 cars made

Documented with Protecto Plate, true Z28 RS

VIN # 124870L532336

This is an extremely nice and very rare 1970 Camaro Z28 RallySport - 1 of 8,733 Z28’s produced but even less with the RS option. It retains its factory paint color in the seldom seen “Citrus Green” (code 43 43 on the cowl tag). This is a rare color for 1970 and most Citrus Green cars were changed to other colors over the years. This Z28 has a fantasic paint job and no rust. The car was born in California at the Van Nuys plant and sold new in Santa Monica, California at Keefer Chevrolet…and now it is in Texas. This car is the real deal, a true Z28 and not a fake or clone. There are many clones for sale with re-stamped parts but this is not one of those types. This car still retains its original 350 LT1 engine with the partial vin number and date code showing on the front pad of the engine block (10L532336 & 0629CTC).This stamp was verified by Jerry MacNeish as the real thing. The car comes with the original Protecto Plate Warranty Booklet from 1970.The engine, rear end, transmission and carburetor are all original (see decoding below). The cowl tag is original and unmodified showing the 43 43 Citrus Green color - top and lower. The Vany Nuys plant did not put Z28 on the cowl tag only Norwood cars did, but the P-O-P identifies this car as a real Z28.

This Z28 RS came with some rare options from the factory, such as the RS (RalleySport) option, Turbo 400 automatic transmission, Holley carburetor, Positraction 4.10:1 ratio rear end, dark green interior with bucket seats and center console, power steering, hideaway wipers, an original radio - as well as being painted in thecoveted ‘Citrus Green” paint with black accent stripes.Standard Z28 options on the car include power disc brakes, dual exhaust with chrome extensions and F41 special performance suspension.

The car was restored with great attention to detail, with very nice paint, nice gaps, original quarter panels with stamping on sills under the trunklid, original glass, includes the original smog system which was standard equipment on this car.The paint on the car shines beautifully, better than the pictures show.Stripes were painted under the clear. All the lights work, horn, brake lights, turn signals, interior light, wipers, etc.The interior looks amazing and original.Comes with Goodyear bias plys on original Z28 rims, full spare and jacking equipment in the trunk as well.

This is a rare opportunity to own an iconic ‘real deal’ Z28 RS, not a clone. These 70-73 Z28’s - true matching number documented cars are very hard to find in this kind of condition and are quite rare, with these options and if you do find one the price will be much higher than my reserve. This 1970 Z28 is the most collectable of the 70’s Z28’s and this is a collector grade vehicle that will earn you money the longer you keep it (more than in a savings account). The values for these original documented cars are going nowhere but up.The only reason I am selling this car from my private collection is I have several cars and I need to ‘thin the herd’ a bit.

If you need your wife’s, girlfriend’s or mother’s permission to bid, get that before you place a bid.If you pay with a personal check or cashiers check or bank check, according to my bank, the check must clear, so please give that time before you pick up the vehicle.Good luck!

Bid early and message me for any questions and I can call you back.Check my feeback as a seller! Good luck….
