Description:
1970 Chevrolet El Camino
EXTERIOR: It is a looker- vibrant blue with those chrome wheels, it's sharp. Also has the SS hood. Painted a year ago and looks like it was done yesterday. Clean, straight body. Looking down the sides, doors fit flush. Smooth all along the bottom. The paint has a very glossy, polished clear coat finish. The front bumper is original, it's in good shape slightly tarnished. is Stainless steel trim is original. Door handles, wheel well moldings and the trim on top of the bed looks like it's all new. The tail lights and back bumper is new. Those are 17 inch chrome Ridler wheels with performance tires. Door jambs are painted nice, new weather strip around the doors. Windshield is new.INTERIOR: The upholstery, door panels, armrests, carpet, sill plates, headliner, mirror and dash pad is new reproduction. The instrument panel area is actually in very good shape, it's not cut up or broken. Down below the dash is a set of Sunpro gauges.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Smooth running 350 motor. Up on top it is an aluminum Edelbrock intake and an Edelbrock carb with electric choke. Has an HEI ignition system too. It's dressed up with some chrome Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner. Fuel pump looks new. It features power steering and power brakes. It's also a factory air car, the air and heat system do need some work to be functional.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the bed is solid and painted. Not show quality but you can use it!
UNDERSIDE: The bottom of this car is actually very clean original metal. Previous owner did scrape and clean it. He chose not to paint over it because he wanted to show there's nothing to hide. The floor pans, inner rockers, the lower inner quarters behind the tires all look to be clean original. The drain plugs are still in place. The front end components don't look brand new but they look very good. It has a turbo 350 automatic that was serviced. 12 bolt posi is in the rear and air shocks.
We are selling this to help someone out. It has great potential. The underside looks solid, paint and interior are new. The big stuff is great, with some tinkering and servicing the factory a/c the value can go up considerably!
