1966 Chevy C-10 Rare Big Back Window Long Bed Pick Up truck. an SBC 350 motor with mild cams, Holly Carb with Spectre intake and air filters, all mated to a TH400 3 speed automatic transmission with oil cooler mounted up front. It has Glass Packs dual exhausts with side exit and sounds awesome!!The truck sits mean and low on 20” Boss wheels with disc brakes all round. It has power steering and brakes. It has LED lighting, aluminium radiator with secondary electric cooling fan. Everything works, all gauges etc with the exception of the fuel gage and horn. The truck currently sits on coil overs but there is a large compressor already mounted under the bed, if you wanted to convert to air suspension.
The paintwork is a few years old, there are a few rock chips and blemishes here and there, most noticeable is the tail gate where paint is peeling slightly in one corner. Personally I would suggest this be repainted and perhaps detail the letters in the same colour as the roof, which is like a dark candy apple. There is slight pickling starting to show on the lower door frames..not really noticeable.Overall the truck is very presentable as can be seen in the photos, the paint job despite the points mentioned, still has a good depth of shine. The chrome bright work is excellent, it needs a few clips on the rear side trim mouldings. The bed is varnished and in really nice condition, the gas tank is mounted under the bed.The interior is really nice, all the glass is good and the bench seat was custom retrimmed to contrast the colour of the truck. There is currently no radio and the truck does not have A/C or seatbelts. The engine bay is clean and nicely detailed, it also has an LED strip light for when you want to show it off!The truck drives straight and stops on a dime, Mechanically the motor is strong and was recently serviced with fresh fluids a new distributor fitted. She does have a slight oil leak I believe from the transmission gasket and I would advise re-balancing the prop shaft when this is attended to.
In summary, this is a Badass looking truck, great for cruising to the beach, your local bar or car club meet. She gets a lot of attention out on the road however she is not a trailer Queen, she does have a few issues as I have mentioned but then so do I and I'm not as old as she is! This is a great opportunity for someone to acquire a rare big back window C-10 and take her to the next level where perhaps with a little work she could become a trailer Queen..
