1965 Chevrolet C-10 Custom
It's quite possible that you are looking at the slickest 1965 Chevrolet C10 in our showroom. Fresh off a comprehensive restoration by the pros at A&E Custom Hot Rod Shop, it's the kind of truck whose every detail is bright, crisp, and laser-sharp, giving it a very tailored look where nothing seems out of place. a strong small block V8 with good options and featuring a slick paint job with a comfortable A/C interior, this 1st generation vintage hauler was built to turn heads and make the neighbors jealous.Even from thirty feet away, anyone can tell that this truck is special. And the closer one gets, the more impressive it becomes. The brilliant yet subdued Fawn paint catches your eye because it's so much nicer than the cars around it, with the white cab adding that much more vividness, and it's obvious from any angle that serious amounts of cash went into the build. The panels are straight enough to nicely reflect and they probably spent more time aligning the sheetmetal than most guys spend on entire paint jobs. Other than some deleted trim, nothing has been heavily modified, shaved, or chopped, instead letting the quality do all the talking, and once you see this truck next to lesser specimens, you'll understand what a big impact that really makes. Two-stage urethane certainly helps, giving it a shine that's deep enough to swim in, and all the chrome was likely restored, replaced, or polished. Sure, it's not perfect, and some minor imperfections can be found upon closer inspection, but you have to have a trained eye to find much fault in the Chevy. There is, of course, a fully restored oak bed with painted rub strips, and the natural materials add a warmth that enhances the overall look and I like that they used a satin varnish so it doesn't fight with the paint for your attention. It just looks right.
This is not some custom resto-mod, but rather a high-quality restoration with some functional upgrades, so the interior has been treated to a very stock-looking makeover. A new beige seat cover is trimmed in vinyl and has a cool 1960s vibe to it, and tan carpets on the floor make it feel more luxurious than your average blue-collar hauler. Again, it's the quality that stands out, with the cool woodrimmed chrome steering wheel atop the polished tilt column, and the crisply rendered instruments inside the billet bezel are Dolphin units that cover all the vitals of the small block under the hood. And you'll note that the odometer shows just 204 miles since the restoration was completed. This 'ol girl is just getting started! Every knob, every piece of trim, every detail is beautifully rendered. To make this handsome truck more functional, it has a discreetly-installed R134a A/C system under the dash as well as a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/AUX radio that was so neatly installed it looks like it always belonged there. And if you want some idea of the commitment to accuracy, check out how the Fawn door paint wraps around the edges of the doors, leaving a razor-sharp line between it and the white door cards.
The powerful 283 cubic inch V8 was built and detailed for show before being slipped back under the hood, and it's worth taking the time to look around. All the cool little things are there, from the chrome air cleaner and matching valve covers, to the Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and performance intake, and to the big aluminum radiator up front, all so neatly refinished that it's about a million times nicer than new. A few modern liberties with the A/C and cooling system mean it's far more comfortable to drive today, but other stuff like the chromed alternator and beautifully painted inner fenders/firewall mean that every decision was a choice, not just happenstance. It's every bit as nice underneath, too, where you'll find a fully rebuilt and painted suspension that's been dropped 4-inches, shorty headers that feed a throaty Magnaflow dual exhaust system, and a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission feeding the heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end out back. Power front disc brakes are a welcome addition, as is power steering, so you can drive this truck every day if you want, although it might be just too nice to risk banging around in rush hour. Finishing the killer look are a set of chrome smoothies wrapped a thick Coker Classics 235/75/15 whitewalls that look amazing on this rig.
As nice as this truck looks, it's even better than you think, and if quality matters, this is your truck. Call today!
