1987 Chevrolet Blazer
Beautiful restored Chevy Blazer for sale. Power steering, power brakes/discs in front, power door locks, working A/C, power windows, cruise control, tilt steering, keyless entry, and all the other upgrades the Silverado edition had. I have put a lot of money into this classic, repairing and replacing anything it needed and bringing it up to perfect running condition and appearance. Its such a beauty and gets constant attention and compliments whenever I take it out on the road. Its extremely fun to drive, as the previous owners had the entire truck lifted off its chassis and set down onto a 1979 Chevy 3/4 ton truck drive train with a 3 inch lift and matching 410 gears and 8 lug nuts, which makes the truck feel like driving a military vehicle. I had all the work inspected by three mechanics who all said the lift was a top notch job, and all the components under the springs from the 3/4 ton are in very good condition. I had the rear diff flushed and cover taken off to inspect the 410 gears, and was told they look almost like new.I have all the receipts I have paid to show the work that I did to it, as well as the receipts from the previous owners. I printed a comprehensive list of everything I’ve done, with part numbers, dates and milage, oils used etc for your records. You can verify the milage (under 128K) with the receipts. The truck needs nothing, and yes I would not hesitate to drive it across country. Everything works on it, including cold AC, cruise control, a Viper keyless alarm, all lights, all new belts, all fluids changed very recently except brake fluid, which was done a few years ago. The tires still have at least half life on them. The only thing not working is the rear tailgate window is stuck in the closed position, but all the wiring works and I have a rebuilt motor and cable for it. The felt pads wore out inside the tracks and caused them to stick, you can however easily convert it to a manual crank with a kit from LMC Truck if desired. Some recent things I have done are all new carpet including front, back, door panels, wheel covers and rear tire cover, all new quality ceramic window tint (at a cost of $730.00.) A new 4-channel Phoenix Gold 600 watt amp (at $800.00,) new speakers, a new original grain-matching dash, new headliner, new instrument panel cover and all new chromed air vents, new dash bezel, new emblems, new exterior trim and emblems, wheel well arches, rear lights, side mirrors, door interior trim and arm rests, sun visors and chrome brackets, and more. If you have ever restored a classic truck, you know how expensive it is to change all these out.
Mechanically I had the AC system gone thru with a new compressor, recharged (it was converted to the newer freon earlier), a newly rebuilt Denso starter, new passenger side exhaust manifold and donut, rebuilt TBI injection unit with rebuilt injectors, new double platinum plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, K&N air filter, Map sensor, O2 sensor, temperature sensor, battery, PCV valve, EGR valve, all belts with Gates real rubber, all four Bilstein shocks, new steering stabilizer shocks (Rancho), new fan clutch, Catalytic Converter and tail pipe, and more. Previous owner had the transmission replaced with a goodwrench one at 62,000 miles, complete front brake job (calipers, rotors, flush etc) at 105,000 miles, new radiator at 76,000 miles, and more. Just had a four-wheel alignment less than 100 miles ago, and new oil and filter changed out 200 miles ago. As I have said, it doesn’t need anything except the rear window unstuck and a loving new owner.
Originally from California, the truck made its way up to Eastern Washington where I found it. I have an original journal for work done by a previous owner, also two original factory manuals that have a lot of valuable information in them. There is a brake controller installed on it, as well as a front receiver hitch.
The truck was repainted a few years ago, and although not a $6,000 job it still looks good. There are two very small rust spots on the drivers door and one area under the lip of the hood about 4 inches by 1 inch where there is surface rust, but otherwise it seems rust free except for some minor frame surface rust underneath, I have a lot of pictures I can send. When I replaced the carpet 2 months ago, the metal flooring underneath looked like new, I will include pictures. There is a small tear on the drivers seat, about 1 inch long but otherwise all 4 seats look good and I have covers for them. There are 5 small holes on the roof where a light bar was, I left them and plugged them with rubber inserts for a future light rack.
The truck was shipped from Spokane last fall long and kept in an oversized storage unit since then, rarely driven. I am happy to start it and take videos of it starting or me driving it. I can also help to meet a shipper at the storage unit for pick up. The title is free and clear and in my name.
I am only accepting cash or, if you are not able to be present a bank wire that has to clear before I release the vehicle. I will look into doing a paypal transaction as well.I have been very honest about the condition, and am happy to answer any more questions you may have or take more pictures or videos for you.
I am advertising the vehicle locally and reserve the right to end the auction early.
