No expense spared, custom build for NHL player John Michael Liles. I've been around thousands of custom cars, this one is dialed in! The fit, finish and function are incredible. Really, it performs and feels like a factory built high performance luxury car.EXTERIOR: The body and paint work is first rate. Everything fits like a new Mercedes, you can close the trunk, hood and doors with one finger. The paint is polished like yellow glass. The painted on stripes are so smooth you don't even feel them. Jambs are painted meticulously. I did not see a flaw anywhere. Of course all of the chrome, trim, weatherstrips are new. It has some real nice custom door handles. The taillight bezels are billet with bright LED bulbs. In front the headlight doors were converted to electric, they zip right open. Has one of a kind HRE wheels, the least expensive wheel on their website is $1,200 each!wrapped in 18 inch G-Force tires, extra wide in back. Has a power top, upgraded with a soft black Haartz cloth. It fits perfectly, works perfectly. Custom made leather boot installs much easier than the original.
INTERIOR: 100% first class. All of it is wrapped in glove soft leather with yellow stitching. Custom bucket seats front and back. Has console that goes front to back with a compartment that has a 12 volt receptacle, the power top switch and an aux plug for the stereo. That's a Hurst 6-speed shifter sticking out of it. Premium soft carpet s with matching floor mats. Door panels are custom made- hand made aluminum trim, built in speakers and of course wrapped in leather. The dash area is all restored, has custom set of clean gauges. Everything is lit up with white LED lights. Custom stereo includes four 6x9 speakers, two 8 inch subwoofers and an amp. Has custom pedals, tilt column with a custom wheel. The hockey player's name is inscribed in the horn button.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has an amazing GM crate motor- LSA supercharged 6.2-600 hp used in the ZL1. Google it, there is a video presentation of the motor on GMs website that is impressive. The entire compartment is gorgeous, everything is polished. Completely smooth firewall, the heat and a/c lines are hidden behind the fender. Vintage Air system with polished components. Has carbon fiber filler panel and air cleaner shroud. Polished Wilwood power brake system, new electronic wiper motor, high end billet hood hinges with struts. An aluminum radiator with dual electric fans keeps it cool. There is a heat exchanger and reservoir to cool the supercharger. Chrome plated serpentine belt system if hydraulic clutch what's this big tank what does paint mean for where's the curb
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: completely box and upholstered in the same glove soft leather with the same attention to detail as a cover over the battery in under that cover his Billet hold Downs it's also a compartments to the other side there's a plug in for a battery tender
UNDERSIDE: Detroit Speed custom suspension front and back. Upfront it has really fat tubular control arms with coil over shocks. The actual structure of the car was reconstructed to optimize the handling. Frame connectors were cut and welded into the floors to tie the front to the back for less flexing. In back it was modified to accommodate a Quadralink adjustable suspension with coil over gas shocks and panhard bar. It's been mini tubbed for those wide road gripping tires. There's a skid plate upfront protecting the aluminum oil pan. Has a new Tremec 6-speed trans with hydraulic clutch. Click it into 6th gear and it will cruise effortlessly at 75 mph. New Gear FX Ford 9-inch rear end with 3.73 posi gears. Real fat custom exhaust system goes all the way out the back. Has x-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. A custom fuel system includes a stainless tank. All custom brake system has drilled and slotted rotors at each wheel with 6 piston calipers in front, 4 piston in back. Custom brake lines and e-brake assembly.
This was truly a no expense spared restoration and my hat is off to the shop that built it. They didn't just throw money at it. There was obviously a lot of thought and pride that went into it. Therefore the finished product is amazing. I'll stress again- it functions incredibly well from the performance aspect to how well the door shuts!
