1972 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500 cheyenne

Ive decided to part with a few of my classic trucks and unfortunately this 1972 Chevrolet is one of them. This is about as nice of an original survivor truck as one could hope to find. This 72' spent the first 40 years of its life with a overhead camper on it and was sparingly used as a recreational vehicle. The body on this one is in exceptional shape. The only rust to speak of on it is inside of the box towards the front right corner as seen in the picture. Water must have gathered up in that corner under the camper. It's not as bad as it looks in the picture though there are a few holes. The rest of the truck from what can be seems without disassembling the whole thing, looks great. The cab corners, floors, rockers cab supports, inner rockers have never been rusted, doors, fenders box sides, tool box, are all solid. There was a dent by the lower toolbox door that was properly repaired. I also stripped the hood down to bare steel and primered it as the paint had wore off and was surface rusting. Both were primered with epoxy primer and PPG 2K primer. The truck is an original cheyenne C20 as seen on the SPID (build sheet) pictured. It was pretty well loaded with 402 big block, TH400 trans, Dana 60 rear, post traction, disk brakes in the front, power steering, Air conditioning, tilt wheel, belt molding, sliding rear window etc. A factory tachometer has been retro added to the original dash cluster. The interior of this truck is in amazing shape with hardly any ware on the painted surfaces, perfect door panels, dash pad etc. very tight and solid. The doors open and close as new. The engine runs like a flat head Ford! Its probably the quietest smoothest big block I've ever heard. I completely rebuilt the original Quadrajet probably a year ago by now, new AC Delco battery, pretty much all fluids changed, new starter, fuel tank and other parts here and there. The hubcaps were missing so I purchased a very nice original set for it as seen. Even the seat has minimal wear for almost being 50 years old. I wouldn't be afraid to drive this thing across the country tomorrow. Its dead reliable. The choke is perfectly dialed in, doesn't smoke, transmission works flawlessly, lights all work etc. I do have an original 72' rear stop bumper for it that I was going to powdercoat and instal but haven't gotten around to it. The new owner is welcome to it if they'd like. The biggest downfall to the truck other than the paint wearing thin, is that the original tailgate never made it back on the truck. I found an original medium blue and white tailgate thats on it now. Its nothing special at all. Im sure the original is still in someones rafters somewhere out there. If you are just looking for a pretty paint job to drive down the street, this isn't your truck. If you want a super solid original, they don't get any better than this very often. My plan was to put the body, box, and engine all onto a 3/4 ton 4x4 frame. I have another 71' 4x4 thats half restored so I figured id let this one go. It has sat inside the last 8 years and has not even picked up 1000 miles in that time. It hasn't been molested like so many. All of the proper parts are in place under the hood, theres not a bunch of mismatched bolts and cut into wiring harness's on this one. Its been very well cherished throughout its life.If anyone has any questions or would like more pictures or videos please do so before bidding. There are no warranties on this truck, sold as is where is. Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping costs associated if thats the route they choose. I can recommend a few good shippers. Thanks for your time and happy bidding!!

Also I should mention, the truck has 100,918 miles on it. I doubt that will change really any. And yes that is the actual miles without any doubt. Also, all vin numbers match between the SPID, vin tag, drivers door sticker, frame numbers, and title. The title is clear and in my name. There is literally hardly even a ding inside of the box. It is almost perfect. The AC system is 100% complete. It holds a charge for about 3 weeks. Heater and defrost work, all lights etc work, wipers etc.
