Description:

1964 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Belair

1964 Chevrolet Belair Station Wagon.Getting harder all the time to find these old grocery getters.Nevada car, Clean Title in hand, 350 V/8 (1970 engine, solid runner w/ lower miles)3 Speed on the column. Starts, Runs, Drives, Stops!! :~) However....WILL NEEDsome attention (basic) to bring up to safe operating standards for highway use!
56 year old survivor, SOLID....and VERY Worthy of restoration.Minimal rust issues...pictures tell the story best.....but feel free to ask questions.Floor pans front and rear drivers side still very good....Floor pans front and rear passenger side still in tact but should be replaced at some point (child's play).Rear seat floor pan drivers side...is weak where seat mounts and needs repair!!Trunk/rear cargo pan very solid (see pictures topside and underneath)
Never been in an accident and no previous body work or restoration. Original paint job is sunburnt, faded and peeling. There is very thin surface rust on the roof and the lower body was spot treated with Permatex rust spray and primed only,NO fiberglass filler....just grey primer only. = (A weak attempt at prolonging the inevitable.)
Has the hard to find Roof Rack....very nice condition but missing a few adjustment screws.
All Glass is good, clear with no cracks!Upper chrome trim and bumpers (front and rear) very nice, straight condition (no pitting).Back seat lower cushion was removed for pictures but is in shape consistent with upper rear seat cushionand has already been reinstalled. Will eventually need a new interior to include headliner ..... but for the time beingcan be used as is.
Tailgate has typical rust along the bottom edge But the good news is, I have a rust free tailgatethat comes with the deal. (along with some extra body trim pieces, extra set tail light receptacles, extra steering wheel, nice set of Chevy hubcaps and the original bumper jack) all of which is pictured.
This 64 "Barn-Find" wagon is 99% complete and original except for the 1970 350 V/8 engine which I purchased from asenior citizen (like myself) who owned it since new. It came out of their Sunday-go-ta-meetin Caprice that had 73,000 actualmiles on the odometer so is nice fit with the mileage on the wagon.
Wagon will need a complete exhaust system as I removed the original that was on the 283 V/8 that came stock in this car.I had intended to replace it with a custom tuned, dual exhaust system......but never got that far with the project.
I really wanted to restore this one to it's former 1960's glory along with a dozen other GM classics that I have but life circumstancesdealt me another hand in the health department so looks like some other enthusiast will have to take over from here! Should be arelatively simple restoration project as many of these parts are still being reproduced and are readily available online. Just a reallynice old Chevy wagon!! Priced to sell with NO RESERVE!!
It is being sold "AS IS", HOW IS, WHERE IS" with NO existing warranty or guarantee of any kind either expressed or implied. To be trailered away FOR RESTORATION! There is no particular rush to have it shipped as we live on a farm and storage space isnot an issue BUT would like it gone before me. Let's say within 30 to 60 days to be sure! All shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer.
