1961 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Restomod

Every first-generation Corvette makes people say "WOW!" when they see it. But the upgraded suspension, four-on-the-floor, A/C interior, and 430 hp V8 make this memorable 1961 Chevrolet Corvette restomod the one you'll love driving, too.

Even before you check out all the enhanced features, this one has an instant attraction. That's because the '61 Corvette is already an icon. Four headlights up front and the band new ducktail spoiler debuted for this year (so it's the beginning of the iconic four taillight tradition.) This one keeps all the great brightwork, including the wraparound bumpers, scalloping side trim, and factory wheel covers. It's all part of a high-quality restoration and proper care since then. The red paint always has a classic look on a C1, and this one modern clearcoat luster that's ideal for a sunshine-friendly convertible. Plus, while the white side coves look fantastic, especially when paired with the white folding top.

Bucket seats with a waterfall-style tonneau in-between are part of the iconic style and comfort offered inside a first-generation Corvette. But you can also tell they made an investment in the right upgrades. The custom red and white theme continues with custom white trim on the doors mimicking the same white swoop of the exterior. There's nice comfort upgrades like the retro-style AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning (always a great feature to let you enjoy a convertible even in the summer.) And you can also tell this is a driver's machine with upgrades like the smaller diameter leather-wrapped sports steering wheel, power steering, and a Hurst shifter.

One look at the shining components in the engine bay, and you can tell this V8 is radiating power. This is a major upgrade with a Blueprint 383 cubic-inch stroker motor installed in 2012. It inhales deeply with a Holley Four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with authority as headers feed the dual exhaust. The full package is rated at 430 horsepower. And you can tell this upgrade was a professional installation by the tidy packaging. Plus, they gave it the right supporting components, like an MSD ignition, steel braided lines, and a large aluminum radiator to help keep it all running cool. The four-speed manual transmission was rebuilt about the time the motor was installed, and so it gives you a firm hand with complete control over this enhanced V8. Plus, as you look underneath, you'll spot a major independent front suspension upgrade with tubular control arms and disc brakes.

The sale comes complete with build receipts and restoration photos. This is a custom and cool Corvette that gets to WOW people with more than just its history. So don't miss out on this unique classic. Call today!!!
