Hello, your looking at a 1958 Chevrolet Super Rare Biscayne 4 Door Sedan in original unrestored Factory condition with only 20,325 miles on this GM classic.
THEY ONLY COME ORIGINAL LIKE THIS ONCE IN A LIFETIME. Any serious Original Chevy Collector, this is a TRUE CAR! This '58Biscaynehas been sitting for many years inside in heated storage after being used daily to drive to work 1.5 miles from the original owners home. The original owner was from Colorado as title still shows, and the next owner moved to Nebraska then back to Colorado. The car is a true low mileage western dry classic. So after sitting since 1983 with the last window inspection Colorado window tagshowing14,626 mileson, 3-27-1981 the ownerdecided its time to let this one go aftersitting around too long after retiring. It was time for someone to really finally concourse restore, or patina seal & preserve this Classic '58 Chevy, as it is so deserving of a great restore.
Never in any accidents, super straight all original sheet metal throughout. Frame is perfect. Tires are newer Radials 205 x 14"with all 5 Original Chevrolet Steel Wheels with the proper 4 hump Nibs for holding any type Hub Caps Chevy had this year.
Original Drivetrain,this Biscayne is equipped from the factory with the Chevrolet Strong Blue FlameSix, 230 cubic inch, alloriginal GM motorcoupled to the manual "Three on the Tree" Column Shift, with the Rare Factory Over Drive! Runs and drives great, has a added Dash Knob Choke, for cold Colorado morning starts, and it starts every time!
The Pot Metal and Chrome: is fantastic on this car and is beautiful. No bad pitting or cracks. Main Chrome Bumpers are very nice and great driver quality, with no rust. One small dent on the rear driver outer curved piece. The pot metal script emblems are beautiful and the vent windows are awesome also. The nose plastic emblem is original and in unreal condition for the year. All sheet metal on the car isSUPER nice and rust free and Original to the car from the GM Factory. Note: the only work noted on this cars sheet metalis the very center of the headlight caps. They weremetal patched in, around a5" with metal in a properGM stamped small panel, looks very good as far as the work goes, and asolid repair.No other rust is noted anywhere on the fenders or the body of the car. Not sure if they were isolated small rust-out areas,or dings from a barn door? The doors, hood, fenders, drip rails, rockers, trunk, all floors, braces, are all 100% solid and rust free from the factory. Due to the very low mileage. ~This is one of the STRAIGHTEST Chevrolets you will ever see looking down the sides!~
Exterior Paint & Interior The exterior paint is CAY CORAL / ARCTIC WHITE and is very good on the sides, topand most of the hood, the patina is the top fenders and trunk mainly and looks awesome for that type car. The Cars Top is very good condition also. Thereare no repaints on the car just the head light caps and some very light on the white area mainlyon the scratches, but no total panel repaint anywhere, just touchups. Interior is awesome and very well preserved with no patches or replacements noted. top of back seat hasone small area of stitching and one heat buckle from back window. Package tray is original and in good shape for year. All paint inside is like new on side panel capsand maindash. Rubber mat floor carpetshave cracks in rubber in spots, (from age) but very good overall & original. headliner is good shows some age discoloration in areas, visors are both still good also. Rubber Brake & Clutch Pedals show only slight wear and match the low mileage! seat are firm and strong no rips or splits, seat rolls easy front to back positions.
TheFactory GLASS: the glass is all date coded original ez-eye tinted GM Glass. All the Glass is absolutely beautiful with one exception to the front windshield. This has one rock chip star and a crack on the far passenger side, no impairment for driver. It is Original so it has been left in place. All rubber and fuzzies and weather stripping, is all fantastic and shows 20,000 mile car wear. Trunk weather strip is perfect and still like new. All window operate like new and open close easy.
Operational Functions:Doors, windows, electrical, vents, handles, knob locks, key locks fordoors &trunk, all operate like NEW. Radio, Heater, Wipers with added washer, all operational as noted and tested. Fuse panel is also clean. Starts with a touchof the key and a pump of the pedal. Drives nice and clutch is good and tight. A fun Car no matter how you look at it.
