Description:

1985 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 Silverado

1985 K10 here is what has been done:

Bought a K10 which was 95% rust free, only issues were tiny holes in the cab corners, cut that out and found a rust free inner corner, repaired it properly, filled in all holes from the moldings properly (almost no bondo) - magnet will stick to the entire truck. Cab and bed were pulled from the truck and frame was checked for any damage, it was straight and we put in all new rubber mounts which leveled out the truck. Gutted the wiring and replaced the wiring with a painless wiring harness (note: did not rewire the doors as they were fine).

Engine: Built 383 stroker with aluminum heads, rattler cam, roller rockers (engine cost was $4200), complete serpentine system, electric water pump, Holley Sniper complete system including the efi, ignition, distributor and 16 gallon fuel tank (all that was over $5000), aluminum radiator, a/c deleted out of the engine compartment.

Exhaust: Stainless Works 1 5/8” to 3” with a set of resonators going to Borla’s 6.5” round extreme mufflers with turn down tailpipes - this truck sounds like a beast. ($2000)

Transmission: TH400 which is rebuilt and built with a 2400 stall torque converter which has a tiny bit of lag but takes off like a champ. I am including a 2800 stall Hayes racing torque converter which if you want to race this truck you can.

Weather stripping: everything is replaced. New windshield with new rubber, new rear (non sliding) window with new stripping, rebuilt vent windows and new door and window rubber.

Window motors: replaced both though they worked perfectly.

Interior: Interior compartment was 100% rust free, behind the seats and roof has raptor lining under the new headliner and carpet, floor, inside doors and lower part of the back has been Dynomatted. Has new carpet on the floor, on the back behind the seats. TMC interior which includes buckets, center column with cup holders, new dash all with red stitching. New instrument bezel.

Instrument cluster: Dakota Digital with red led lighting. Has a vintage look with every modern convience you can imagine. GPS speedo, 1/8 and 1/4 mile times and so much more. Dash is simply amazing. ($1200)

Lighting: headlights replaced with LMC’s Halogen (cost $450), tailights are LMC’s LED taillights and the turn signals are totally custom LED’s (see video). All lights removed and replaced to led.

Exterior: Truck has had all issues fixed and a pro paint shop has done a proper Raptor liner on the entire truck. It look amazing, tons of compliments on the truck. Bed was taken off and the back of cab and front of bed done as well.

Rear end and gearing: 3.73 locker in rear, all new just had this done. I had the entire rear axle re-done including rear brakes.

Lift Kit: Brand new Rough Country 4” suspension lift with no blocks as i bought a 52” rear spring. All done properly. Very nice lift.

WHATS LEFT ? We just re-did the rear gears but we have not done anything with front gearing and the front drive shaft needs re-done as it still has old gearing. Front driveshaft needs to be re-built and honestly i would build a rear driveshaft possibly $1500 and its complete.

The odd: heater has 1 speed which is full speed and off, the truck as no a/c as if i was keeping it i would of added Vintage air

I may consider a partial trade but dont bother me with high mile junk (any trade must be approved by Rob, so let me know what you have - UTV’s only) I may be interested in newer or new UTV (Polaris or CanAm). Absolutely no joy rides, tire kickers as i do not have time. I have nearly $40,000 invested then i am asking and best offers will be in CASH and not in trades.
