1966 NOVA STATION WAGON 350/4BBL, 700R4, ORIG CA. BLACK PLATE CAR ALL ITS LIFE.
1966 Chevrolet Nova
1966 Nova wagon. This car has been in California all of its life. Has the original black and yellows it was originally assigned. Originally a 6-cyl, Powerglide car, this car now has a 350, 700R4 trans. 600cfm 4bbl Edelbrock Carb. Mild cam. 410 gears. Dual Flowmasters. Being under 3000 lbs, this car rips off the line better than a Tesla. Launches at least as good as turbocharged all wheel drive Subaru's. Tried and true. Nail it at a roll and it kicks down into 1st or 2nd, depending what speed you are at, and screeches the tires as is does so. Overdrive lets you do 80 on the highway at about 2900rpm. Sanderson headers. Aluminum radiator. Runs, shifts and stops fantastically. This car has an upgraded 1" sway bar and handles amazingly for a Nova Wagon. Power steering that works great. Front disc brakes.Last year the body was perfect except for a few small rust spots, as pictured (A-pillars, tiny bit at very top of C-pillars and one spot at the edge of the roof just above the drip rail. Also really bad on the lower tailgate). I will include a super-nice tailgate with zero rust but you must install it or have it installed. It is also white. As I mentioned, a year ago the body on this car was as straight as an arrow. It suffered a very unfortunate rear-ending last October (2018). I took it to a reputable body shop and they assured me that it can be put on a rack and stretched and pounded out at a cost of $2,000. They were all on board to do it and then bossman stepped in and said "No" because it wasn't an insurance job. I was paying out of pocket. Then I had another bodyman look at it and he confirmed that it can be stretched and pounded out. He was on board to do the job but he was 50 miles from me and I didn't like the idea of the car being so far away, so I just parked it and said "Some other time". Well, at this point, I have just lost the desire and I feel the need to pass the car along. The bezels (front and rear) were mint, as was all side trim. In the accident, the rear side trim popped off and I never found it. The car currently has a perfect left rear bezel. No headlight bezels are included with the car, as I pulled them off for safety, and for the life of me, I cannot find them. Life got very busy and I have 3 garages and a ton of storage space! They could be anywhere. All of the remaining trim on the car is perfect. All body panels aside from the right rear quarter are still factory straight with zero damage. Perfect hood, grille, no dings or dents in roof. Body looks great everywhere except that rear quarter. All glass in the car is in great shape with no issues. Rally wheels with all chrome in great shape. The seats are in good shape. Nice, driver-quality upholstery with no rips or holes anywhere. I had the rear seat folded forward for the past year, that is why the indentations from the seat belts. These come out on their own in about 2 days. It could use carpet but current carpet has no tears or holes, it's just driver-quality dirty. Perfect dash pad. Perfect horn ring. Could use a couple interior door panels. Kick panels are fine. Sill plates are nice. Needs a rear interior panel.
I had engine pics but they failed to load. Engine and compartment is driver-quality. Not super clean, not terribly dirty. Not greasy. Factory original and un-modified. I have probably forgotten some things, so please feel free to ask.
