1971 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe short wheel base truck. It is equipped with a 250 engine and 3 speed transmission. It is a 2-owner truck that has been in North Alabama its entire life. The truck had been sitting for about 10 years when I found it. It was given fresh gas, new battery, new tires, points and plugs. It runs and drives pretty good for it's age. No leaks or smoke and the column shift transmission shifts smooth. The previous owner installed new rocker panels and repainted the truck in the early '90's. The body is in nice shape with the only major rust being in the door bottoms. The cab is nearly rust-free and only has a small amount in the floor kick panel area. There is some paint flaking and some slight scaly rust around the drip rail, but not rusted through. The inner roof panel and firewall are perfect. Underside of cab and cab supports are basically rust-free also. Just one small spot under sill plate (see pic). Nice dash, perfect dash pad and no broken heater levers. All lights work, wipers work, heater works.Great truck to drive as is or a good candidate for restoration. Bill of sale and tag receipt will be provided - no title in Alabama until 1975.
