We are proud to offer this gorgeous 1959 Corvette. We recently purchased the car from private owner who had the car for over 23 years. It had been nicely restored in the 1990s but only used as a weekend show car and driver. The car is still in beautiful condition inside and out.
We have deciphered the numbers on the car and, to the best of our knowledge, have determined it was originally equipped with the ultra rare 290hp fuel injection. It has a "CS" suffix code block which decodes to 1959, FI, high lift cam & manual transmission. The casting number and date codes on the block also correlate with the build date of the car. We have also determined that the transmission and differential also code correctly to the car. There is the correct tach drive outlet behind the distributor, mounting holes for the FI air cleaner and washer container holes on the passenger side wheel well. It also has the correct high redline tachometer. I am glad to discuss our research by phone.
While 80% of its FI components are in place, the FI unit was removed long ago and replaced with a carburetor on a 66-67 Corvette aluminum intake. Fortunately, there is a correct 1959 FI unit currently listed on eBay for a very reasonable price.
This unique Corvette has HUGE high end potential in the hands of the right owner. In the meantime, it is a fantastic driver as is.
