Mostly original style C-10 Chevy pickup
1972 Chevrolet C-10 --
This potent-looking 1972 Chevrolet C10 pickup is everything you'd want in a vintage hauler: V8 power, classic good looks, and a modicum of comfort inside. The bright red paint is a wonderful splay of color that's very welcome in today's monochromatic world, and there's absolutely no vehicle powered by a small-block Chevy that isn't a blast to drive. Few vehicles wear bright red better than a vintage pickup truck. This clean C10 looks sharp wearing the vivid... paint like a muscle car, an impression that's backed up by the truck's performance. Repainted in the not-too-distant past, it has a great shine with a lot of depth, as if someone really took their time with it. The bed sides, doors, and all the other sheetmetal is in good shape and doesn't look like it was abused during decades of work and even the bed is beautifully finished and very, very clean. There's obviously a bit of money tied up here. A bit of chrome and stainless trim gives this C10 an upscale look, and the shiny bumpers, polished stainless, and tailgate are in very good condition. It also comes with a fitted low-profile tonneau cover that turns the bed into a waterproof storage area. No modifications, no cowl hood, no questionable graphics, just a solid, straight old pickup in a great color combination with a wicked stance. The interior is finished in simple black vinyl that suits the truck just fine. The seat cover is newer and fits well, showing a few minor signs of use but nothing worth worrying about. The original steering wheel on a color-matched steering column looks right and offers a real truck feel when you're going places. Red carpets look flashy and add to the plush feel that this truck embodies. The factory gauges cover the basics of speed and fuel level, and someone has cleverly installed aftermarket dials, including a tach, in the factory openings to it looks very complete. It also offers options like power steering and power brakes, plus a Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo radio in the center of the dash. So yes, it's a little basic, but that also leaves us puzzling about its above average condition. Someone clearly loved this truck, but they either didn't (or couldn't) splurge on options. The 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood needs no excuses, however. It looks very well-dressed with a billet aluminum air cleaner up top, basic black paint on the engine itself, and satin black inner fenders and firewall for a clean, simple look. A big Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and Air Gap intake manifold are familiar horsepower upgrades, as are the long-tube headers. It starts easily and has a smooth idle befitting a luxury car rather than a pickup truck and thanks to a new dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers, it has a fantastic soundtrack. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission feeds power back to a sturdy 12-bolt rear end, and once again, we're amazed by how tidy this truck is underneath. It's not restored for show, of course, but thanks to a lifetime someplace warm, the metal looks very good. Oversized Rally wheels are the right look and carry staggered 255/60/15 front and 295/50/15 rear white-letter radials for a performance vibe. Nothing fancy, just a solid, reliable, and downright attractive old pickup. We know how much you like these trucks, and this one has some very good bones. Call today!
