1978 Chverolet Corvette Pace car Automatic 0008 original miles

This is a 1978 Chevy Corvette Pace car with only 0008k miles (NOT A TYPO, "ONLY EIGHT" ORIGINAL MILES).

HISTORY

Mr. J lewis purchased this car new at WK Chevrolet in Missouri, his intention was to re-sale it for a profit but the deal didn't materialize so he decided to keep the car exactly as it came from the Dealer. Since his intentions were initially to re-sell the car he asked the Dealer not to remove any factory protective material from the interior such as plastics on seats, steering wheel, power windows and cardboards on carpets, as you will see in the photos below the car still in the wrapper. During the years he babied and kept the car properly lubed, made the regular oil changes/filters and started the car to keep all in good order trough the years.

Unfortunately Mr Lewis passed in 1993, after 9 years, in 2004 Lewis family sold the car to Patricia Quality Homes and in 2015 the car became part of Trans Am Specialties collection. Since then the car has been professionally maintained, the most recent service included oil, filter, shocks and brakes, all the original parts removed are kept in boxes. The car is fully functional and is riding on a set of corvette pace car wheels (the original ones are stored to avoid flat spots and will be included with the sale)

This car is a Survivor, was bought new in 1978 under MSO and wasn't titled until 1991, basically a virgin car with original paint, original tires (as said above removed when new and stored, they go with the car, see photo at the bottom of listing). The 100% original Interior still wrapped in plastic from factory is in new condition, she is fully loaded with power options such as power windows, power locks, A/C, original radio, tilt wheel and optional (K30) cruise control as you see in the dealers invoice, as of today everything works but to be honest we never drove the car to avoid adding miles, we assume cruise control works and the car should shift properly, however we believe whoever buys this car will keep it the way it is now for future generations to admire. The original Window sticker is still glued to the passenger door glass along with the EPA sticker

The car has full and extensive documentation as you will see in photos below, and also comes with the Pace car Jacket that was given to the buyer when the car was bought new . This model is very strong in value and this one is for sure an investment grade museum quality car, it will fit perfectly in any collectors garage or museum.
