1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
Here is my 1970 Monte Carlo, a dry desert car and a true gentleman’s hot rod - muscle car. The pictures do not do the Blue Sapphire metallic paint job justice; this car is absolutely stunning in person.
The seats have all new restoration upholstery on them. The dash is in great shape. The radio is an AM/FM stereo with a jack for your ipod. This car has Vintage Air. And Power windows.
The suspension is all Hotchkiss, with tubular control arms and high rate springs. It has oversize sway bars front and rear. The upper rear arms are adjustable to set the pinion angle. The lower rear arms are boxed. All Poly bushings thruout. The shocks are Bilstein Gas.
The engine is a brand new Chevy Crate Performance engine, a Fast Burn 350, with 385HP. It has Chevy aluminum vortec heads, and a roller cam. With just a cam change this engine can make 430HP easily. I put Jet Hot coated long tube headers on it, with a crossover, and a custom exhaust that sounds terrific. It also has a brand new 700R4 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The tires are 17” Pirelli radials that have less than 10 miles on them !
This car runs very strong, it’s something you will be proud to own. Quite fast, yet comfortable.
