Here is a special car up for sale. This 72 Nova was fully restored, frame off restoration just finished 2019 by a good friend of mine who I am selling the car for. Money spent on the car was well over 45k and I have most of the receipts. One look and you can clearly see no expense was cut! Most of the parts on this car were purchased brand new from Classic Industries or Summit Racing or if mechanical were fully rebuilt by local machine shops or mechanics. As you can see photos documenting the restoration were taken. The car has been driven only 1200 miles since rebuilt. Well, my friend had his thrill with the car but tends to move on to the next one quickly! Always been that way, so this is a great opportunity if you want to own a classic muscle car in tip top shape. See the video above and if you have further questions, please call me at 949 2 8 5 - 8 0 1 1
Exterior wise, the paint and body were done at Rite Way Auto Paint & Body. This is a 2 stage paint job color sanded and buffed. Upwards of $10,000 was spent on the paint and body alone. A dark blue was used on the base and gray trim with red boarder pinstriping was used on the center stripe. The gray color is paint and not a sticker. The car of course was painted as a shell and all the trim and fixtures were added after after complete. The floor pans were purchased brand new as well as the trunk section and replaced at the body shop. The frame was sanded, detailed and painted when the body was off. A new cross member was purchased and welded in to place.
All exterior trim including bumper, brackets, nuts, bolts, stainless steel window trim, door handles, locks and cylinders, headlights tail lights side markers and just about everything else on the outside of this car was purchased brand new from Classic or Summit and professionally installed. Front windshield glass is brand new, remainder of the glass all original. Windows professionally tinted and look great.
The interior was completely redone as well and when you close the door it snaps shut like brand new! The car feels solid when you are sitting at the wheel and could not have felt any better when brand new in 1972. As with the exterior trim, all the interior trim was purchased brand new from the headliner to the carpeting at either Summit or Classic Industries. Take a look at my video above for a detailed description. The interior looks beautiful as the dash was wrapped in leather with white stitching. It has a programmable Dakota digital dash cluster with blue lighting as well as an analog cluster of gauges for water temp, oil pressure and volts. Has beautiful Momo steering wheel as well as chrome tilt steering column all brand new. Ignition switch is all brand new and comes with 2 sets of keys. Has brand new suede bucket seats from Classic Industries with brand new seat sliders Seat belts are brand new all around as well as all mounting hardware. The car has updated wiring harness all around. Has aftermarket stock looking stereo with USB plugin and bluetooth streaming capabilities which sounds great. Has custom speaker housings on left and right kick panel area with 6" pioneer and 6x9" Pioneer spearers in the rear shelf area. Carpeting is brand new as well as door panel trim. All the window rubber and window moldings were replaced. Window regulators were serviced and both windows roll up and down easily. Windows handles and and chrome trim on door panels bought new. All hardware around the interior is new. Headliner brand new. Has a nice Hurst Procar 2 ratchet shifter with led lighting that works and looks great! All door weatherstripping bought brand new and professionally installed. Trunk was carpeted and has custom side paneling. You won't find much better!!
Mechanically the car was fully restored as was the rest of the car! From top to bottom everything was rebuilt or replaced no expense spared. Before the engine was installed the engine bay was fully detailed. It has a fully rebuilt 454 Cubic Inch engine with mild cam, rebuilt Edelbrock Carburator, new distributor, plugs wires ignition all new. Has new radiator and cooling fan with aluminum pulleys. Alternator and power steering pump polished stainless steel as well as a few other dress up items around the engine compartment. Power brake booster and master cylinder are brand new. Transmission fully rebuilt and has a high performance torque converter. Rear end was fully rebuilt with 373 gear ratio. All photos are there documenting work done. Brake system was completely redone save the hard lines. Has new disk brakes all around with brand new disks, calipers, soft line ect.
