70 chevy c10 long bed pickup truck
1970 Chevrolet C-10 Longbed
'70 Chev C10 long bed pickup, lowered about 3 inches, built 327, shift kit, 4/11 rear end, 10-gal fuel cell in bed (regular tank still behind seats, but locking gas cap stuck on), 5-point harness for driver's seat (no seat belt for passenger seat).
Bobby Allison used the 327 power plant to win a bunch of Nascar races, back in the day.
Great torque. Fun to drive! Investment/toy/project, $13,000. A year before I bought it, the truck was appraised in writing by a Chevrolet dealership rep. for $10K. I've put $3K and 300 hours into it.
Street legal ex-dragster, Previous owner added a blower, and, using nitrous, says that he ran a 13 second @ 130 mph ¼ mile. He removed the blower and nitrous soon thereafter because the blower was hard to keep tuned. I installed a Vette-style fiberglass scoop to cover hole in hood, ram air plus cowl air!
Interior is shiny black with nice tuck 'n rolled dark gray leather. Bucket seats are decent black leather racing seats. Like-new carpeting. I added extra insulation on firewall for extra comfort!

New parts:
Holly elec fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel regulator, Edlebrock carb, starter, plugs, plug wires, MSD distributor, alternator
Needs:
headers cracked at first pipes on both sides (patched, truck had bottomed out a few years ago)
wiring harness (drain on battery somewhere, maybe missing horn wire), speedo cable
tires (the 4 on it are mismatched, same sized, decent tread; also, 5 bolt wheels in rear, 6 bolt wheels in front)
heater hoses hooked up (disconnected for more power or heater core leaks? Defroster blows strong and warm); hoses and defrost vents under dashboard missing (I jimmy-rigged temporary solution)
rocker panels (I used 3M fiberglass kit for holes, not well done); softball size hole in floor both sides under fresh air vents (temporarily patched); football size hole in rear floor both sides (I stuffed foam rubber in)
paint (I tried to cover some scratches, not well done. I brush painted faded yellow in front, not well done)
window sprockets both sides
door locks
spray-on bed liner starting to peel along rails, 2 gouged-out spots 3" x 1â€
gas pedal missing (still easily drivable with stub, brake pedal is chrome skeleton effect add-on)
rear bumper missing (maybe removed because it was dented or for less weight, more speed?)
stereo missing (who wants music when you've got the rumble of a built 327?!)
Possible title issue. I've had truck in storage and did not transfer title into my name (nor did I register it) after purchasing it from private party four years ago. I will write, sign and date a bill of sale to be included with the title.
