1972 Chevy C10 ISCA show winner called Inferno
1972 Chevrolet C-10 --
This truck was built to win ISCA Championships and it did! This was not a driver it was a show truck they trailered from show to show collecting trophies and prize money. This truck was retired from the ISCA show Circuit as a Champion. It sat for a few years in storage until its rebirth a year ago. It has undergone a transformation into a truck you can drive. EXTERIOR: The cap has been tastefully chopped, shaved, and smoothed. Even... the underside is painted, chromed, or polished. The bed has been smoothed to perfection both inside and underneath custom roll pans was fabricated and molded in. When they where satisfied with the final fit of all the body mods it was sprayed in PPG black cherry metallic. INTERIOR: The whole interior was updated with a complete TMI kit. Brand new carpet, seats, door panels, dash pad, and center console. It has a tilt steering column with a billet steering wheel. There is also a billet glove box, pedals, door handles, and cover around the digital gauges. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Now comes the power plant. ZZ383 crate engine. This baby puts out 425HP from GM. When you pop the hood you can see the Corvette suspension that was chromed and polished during its years as a ISCA show stopper. The fire wall was shaved, smoothed and customized. You can see the reflection of the chrome and polished billet on the engine is the black cherry paint. The finned shotgun style air clean functions and looks good doing it. UNDERSIDE: WOW!! It gets really good on the underside of this truck. The chassis was boxed and cherried IE: all the holes welded and smoothed. Before closing up every inch of the chassis all the lines and wiring were carefully concealed inside. Front and rear C4 corvette suspension were fabricated to the new frame. That's right the rear end is a independent corvette set up that keeps this truck planted to the ground. Matching flames and pin stripes cover the floors just like the top side. The polished stainless steel exhaust sounds great and will last the test of time. This is still a show stopper. The only difference is now you can drive it from show to show or state to state.
