Description:

1971 Chevrolet C-10 Cheyenne

Up for auction is my 1971 C10 which I have owned for 4 years. I am only selling to get a bigger car to haul the family to car shows in. I might be interested in trading up or down for a 1959 Chevrolet 4 door wagon or 4 door hard top. This truck underwent a full frame off restoration in 2015. The body was sprayed with bed liner on the inside and underside. It still has all of its original sheet metal.
The chassis, front suspension, rear suspension and axle housing are all powder coated. It has ECE 2.5” drop spindles, 2” drop springs in the front and 6” drop springs in the rear with C notch. All shocks are KYB drop shocked. Also has shock relocation brackets installed. Truck rides and drives very nice. Front end was rebuilt 100%. Just had a front end alignment done last month. The wheels are Billet Specialties Mag G’s. 20x8.5 front and 20x10 tears with custom backspacing. Tires are Toyo’s. They have tons of tread left. Wheels are not curbed or bent. All run true.
The rear axle is a factory 12 bolt unit with Richmond 3.73’s and a tru trac. The previous owner had it build by a local shop prior to me buying the truck.
I removed the 350/700r4 and installed a brand new GM crate 5.3 in the spring of 2018. Camshaft was replaced with a Comp 220/220 on a 112. Hardened pushrods and PAC 1218 valve springs were installed as well. The oil pan sits above the crossmember and has clearance all around it. The motor has a set of ceramic Doug Thorley headers running through 2.5” exhaust with Magnaflow mufflers.
The transmission is a 4L60E that I built using a 2002 Camaro SS core. All electronics were replaced, corvette servo installed, upgraded clutches, and a beast sunshell. A PTC 2600 converter was installed when built as well.
The engine/transmission are controlled by a new PSI conversions harness and gm computer custom tuned. The speedometer reads correctly and everything works as it should. The fuel pump is a Walbro 255L mounted on the frame rail. The factory tank is retrofitted to run with the EFI. All lines are 6an. It was set up to easily move the tank to the rear of the truck if desired. Simply connect to the unions at the factory tank and run hose to the new tank.
The radiator and fans are a crossflow unit from R&D performance. The fans are controlled by a painless wiring relay pack. Trinary switch activates the fans as well as a temperature switch in the head.
All of the interior was replaced with the exception of the OEM door panels which are in excellent shape. The seat cover, foam, and carpet were all replaced 3 months ago. The window regulators and lock are new. All weatherstripping through out the truck is new. The side windows were replaced when it was restored. We used an oem gauge cluster and converted the speedometer to an electric using a Speedhut gauge. The truck has tilt steering and tach dash.
I installed a brand new vintage air unit in the truck when the ls swap was done. It all functions like it is supposed to. AC is very cold.
The truck has a custom auto sound radio and a set of kick panels with speakers.
The paint is a solid 8.5-9. It is very nice for a driver. There are no dents or scratches. There are a couple of very small imperfections from the painting process. All the trim was replaced at the time of restoration. The outer grill shell is a GM nos unit. The inner grill was replaced with an aftermarket piece. All lights and signals work as they should. The truck starts up with easy.
This truck could be driven across the country with no issues at all. I have driven it on 2 12 hour round trips with zero issues. It has almost no wind noise inside. The truck is nice to drive on long trips. I will assist the buyer in hauling if possible. I will be going to C10’s in the park with the truck at the end of September if it is still available.Call Dustin at 806-683-189 three with any questions. I have several more pictures that I could send if needed. Cash payment would be best if the buyer wants to leave with the truck at the time of inspection. Please ask your wife if you can buy a truck BEFORE bidding on this one!!! Any potential buyers please don’t hesitate to call me with questions or to visit about the truck. I will throw in a few extras to the buyer. Thank you and good luck.
