1955 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3 Window

The recipe for success is easy: take one handsome 1955 Chevrolet 3100 3-Window pickup, drench it in elegant white paint, give it a comfortable and sporty interior, and power it with a potent small block V8. The results on this one speak for themselves, making this pickup a ready-made piece of full-sized fun. The white paint on this truck was done not long ago, and it shows very well today. Sure, it's not a perfect show-stopper finish,... but you'd be hard pressed to find any imperfections and overall it has a beautiful shine and a comfortable look that suits this higher-end pickup truck just fine. Totally traditional, white is the perfect color for the stylish Chevy hauler, which blends a bit of style with a ruggedness that defined Chevy trucks for a generation. Close examination will reveal great gaps and smooth body lines, all evidence that this truck was clean before the work started and that the guys in charge took their time. Crisp details like the raised hood edges and the bead along the rocker panels move beyond mere function, creating a truck that was as beautiful when it was empty as when it was hauling a heavy load. The slightly forward-canted cab suggests power and speed, which this truck delivers, and the stepside bed gives it a muscular stance. All the chrome is in very good shape, including the substantial bumpers fore and aft, and the rubber seals around the clean glass is in perfect shape. Beautiful oak planks with stainless strips and hardware in the bed warm everything up but if you're planning on hauling anything, bring something to protect it because it's just too pretty to beat up. The black-and gray cloth interior is just as neatly finished as the bodywork, inside and adds a touch of performance upgrades for the driver. They ditched the original bench seat and replaced it with two racing buckets with great bolster support and harness seat belts, which means bending a corner aggressively no longer means you'll be sliding down to the other end of the cab. Plush gray carpets with contrasting black vinyl floor mats help control noise and heat in the cab and replace the original rubber mat, helping to further the luxury truck image. The gauges are drop-dead gorgeous pieces from Auto Meter that fit neatly in the updated triangular instrument panel and offer a much more comprehensive view of the engine, and just ahead of them is a slick leather-wrapped LeCarra 4-spoke steering wheel. There's also a Sony AM/FM/CD stereo head unit that sounds pretty darned good and a Hurst cue-ball shifter for the 4-speed manual gearbox below, and R134a A/C was added to keep the entire cabin nice and comfortable. They even added a set of custom tweed door panels and speakers in the kick panels, making this a truck you could drive every day if you were so inclined. The 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood is a very strong motor with plenty of pop, fed by an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake manifold for added reliability and performance. The block wears blue paint, and you can tell they focused on the details, because the clean inner fenders, chrome valve covers and matching air cleaner, and big aluminum radiator all suggest a truck that was built to look as good as it drives. Block-hugging long-tube headers funnel into a newer dual exhaust system with a great rumbling idle, and yes, that's an independent tubular A-arm front suspension with power rack-and-pinon steering and disc brakes at all four corners. The 4-speed manual is connected to a stout Ford 9-inch rear end, so it's still able to do some hauling on weekends if necessary. Stylish 5-spoke chrome wheels are a nice update and wear fat 225/75/15 Firestone white-letter radials that fill the big wheel wells perfectly. Beautifully built and lots of fun to drive, this 3100 is ready to enjoy and show-off without worries. Call today!
