1967 Chevrolet Corvette L36 427/390HP Convertible

The way to an enthusiast's heart is with a numbers-matching big block Sting Ray. So we already know you love this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. But as you dig deeper this one gets extra special. It not only has a terrific color combo, but also some nice factory features and a quality rebuild of its heart that added plenty of performance. A Corvette finished in red is so iconic that they write songs about it, but this... one knows how to command even more attention. This has a more recent application of its factory-correct Rally Red, and it has a ton of gloss and a great clearcoat shine. So the sunshine really loves this Sting Ray. And they even got the details right, like the redline tires that tell you someone has carefully loved this classic. It also has all the right performance pieces we all love, including the side pipes and the black insert in the stinger hood. But don't forget to check out the details, too. The chrome is bright, the white folding roof is taut, the badging is complete, and the panels fit nicely: this is a well-respected C2. The factory-correct black interior is exactly what you want. You get a deep and dark inside that looks great against the red and matches the intimidation of the hood. So you know you'll love showing off with the top down. This interior gets the vintage look correct, right down to the vertical AM/FM radio. So you get all the best driver's features, like the low-back bucket seats, power windows, thin wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a bright stick shift calling out for your right hand from within the darkness. And if you notice the large speedo and tach, it also has the speed warning indicator. Only about 9% of the Corvette had this option! Under the hood is the original numbers-matching 427 cubic-inch big block. This is an L36 car, but you also see the unmistakable look of the triangle air topper for tri-power. That's part of this car's interesting story. The whole motor was rebuilt by Precision Engine Machine Co. in 1993 (the mileage is believed to be what's added since then.) They fortified it with Wiseco pistons, oval port heads, and a steel crank. It was also given a period-correct upgrade of triple set of dual-barrel Rochester carburetors. So the enhancement was done properly, and the big block fires up nicely with a strong tune out of the side pipe dual exhaust. You really get optimal control over it all with the Muncie M21 close-ratio four-speed manual transmission. And control is a central theme to the Corvette. That's why you get features not found in many other '60s machines like four-wheel disc brakes and a fully-independent suspension. Complete with the owner's manual, build receipts, and ownership history, this is a powerful and properly restored big block Sting Ray. That makes it a great driver that will always be an icon. So don't miss your chance, call today!
