THIS CALIFORNIA NATIVE 1965 CHEVY LONG BED TRUCK WAS BUILT AT THE FREMONT PLANT IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND THIS TRUCK HAS SPENT ITS ENTIRE LIFE IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA . THIS ORIGINAL SURVIVOR TRUCK STILL MAINTAINS IT'S ORIGINAL YELLOW PAINT AND SIDE MOLDINGS ALONG WITH IT'S REAL CALIFORNIA PATINA. THIS IS A SUPER CLEAN STOCK TRUCK THAT IS A GREAT RUNNER / DRIVER.THE BODY- The factory floor pans are solid with light surface rust only, they do not show any signs of welding, patching or repairs and they do not have pin holes, they look good. Both of the kick panels are in good condition with no signs of repairs they look good. The fire wall shows no signs of rusty areas on the driver's side or passenger side upper corners of the fire wall, the fire wall is solid and clean. The exterior bed sides are original to the truck and overall they are in good original condition, there are no signs of rust repairs, patching or old bodywork. The top of the bed and the stake pockets are in good condition with no signs of waves or repairs to the stake pockets. The interior bed side panels are in good solid condition and are not beat up or dented. The original doors are in good condition with no signs of rust repair, patching or old collisions just light surface rust down low. The original front fenders are clean with no signs of rust repairs, patching or old collisions just light surface rust. The original inner fender wells shows no signs of rust or repairs they look good. The radiator support is also original and shows no signs of rust or repairs it looks good. Both the inner and outer rockers are original to the truck and are not full of body filler, there are no rust holes in them just light pitting and surface rust, they both look solid for being original. The inner rockers and body braces are solid with no signs of rust holes or pitting, they look good. The windshield pillars and upper windshield area both inside and outside are rust free and are in good condition. The top of the metal dash is in good condition with no signs of rust or rust repairs. The rain gutters are all solid along with the roof and they show no signs of rust or rust repairs. The hood is in good condition with no signs of rust repair, it fits nicely to the fenders. The bottom side of this truck is not rotted out and it is apparent, when looking underneath that this truck was a dry vehicle. This truck has all of its original GM panels and overall the body on this truck is in good condition. This is an original truck and it has small dings and scrapes throughout but overall this truck is straight and clean. The original yellow and white paint on this truck is thin and showing its real California patina.THE INTERIOR- The inside of this truck is clean and presentable and the original front seat was recovered at some point and the seat springs are in good condition. The original rubber mat is in good condition with light where marks and a few cracks. The original sill plates are intact and there are no rust holes in them. The glove box liner is intact and in good condition. The instrument cluster / gauges are clean looking and all in good working order. The heater blower and the heater switch are intact and are in good working order.The original cardboard sun visors are intact and in ok condition.The original steering wheel is in good condition with no cracks and the horn ring is also clean. There are no added speaker holes cut in to this truck and the original radio blank off plate is intact. Overallthe inside of this truck is in good original condition.THE MOTOR- This truck is equipped with the original high torque 230 6 cy motor that is bone stock and in good running order. This truck runs good and this motor is not a leaker or smoker it is dependable. The motor is equipped with all the original GM factory accessories.THE TRANS- The trans is the original 4 speed manual transmission and it is good working order. The clutch does not slip and when you drop this truck in gear there are no universal joint clunks or noises. I did have this transmission kick out of 2nd one time while climbing a steep hill.THE OVER ALL-This C10 long bed truck is a nice patina driver that was well taken care of and was not beat on or abused over the years. The front suspension looks to be original to the truck and the truck steers straight on both high and low speeds but keep in mind it's not a new truck. This truck has the original stock springs and the original spiral shocks. The original rims are in good condition and he tires are new, they look great. The original wood is intact but there are some small missing spots. The original electrical looks to be in good condition. The windshield and the rest of the original glass is not cracked or pitted and is in good original condition. The front and rear bumpers are original to the truck they are straight and clean. The brake master cylinder is original and the brakes are in good working order but I recommend having the drums and pads inspected for your own peace of mind. The bottom side of this truck is not full of under coating from the factory and it is clear to see that it is not a rotted out mess.
