1984 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 3500 C30 Custom Deluxe 3+3

Ordered brand new in 1984 by its original use Fire Department, this '84 C30 Crew Cab 3+3 one ton 2WD Scottsdale has been "honorably discharged" and ready for work, play or whatever the next owner has in store!
On a more serious note - up for sale is a 1984 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe Pickup C30 Crew Cab 3+3 one ton 2WD. The truck is a retired fire department vehicle, and shows all the signs of low use, and excellent care through its 30+ years of service! This truck is sporting a 350 small block V8 gas engine and factory "granny low" 4 speed SM465 manual transmission. Out back is a full float, one ton SRW Corporate 14 bolt rear axle. The truck runs and drives nice and has been making the rounds at a few local car shows over the last summer. The odometer currently reads 10,153 and may climb as I continue to cruise it around.
As most of us know, fire departments are nearly religious in the care of their vehicles, and I believe this truck was no exception. She is a crew long bed, so there are various dings, scratches and imperfections reflective of its age, but overall the truck shines up great and presents itself very nicely! The "core" of this truck is rock-solid and very clean. Rocker panels & inner structure, floor boards, door lips, hood lips, pinch seams and box are all in great shape and make this truck the perfect candidate for big block, LS or Duramax swap! In fact, for all you Duramax-swap guys out there, this is a factory manual trans truck, so it has a taller transmission hump in the cab...which means no cutting to make way for an Allison trans! A truck this clean sure saves a lot of time and $$$ in sheetmetal and rust repair!
The interior overall is in great shape, with your typical drivers' side bench seat wear & tear. The door panels, dash pad and surrounding interior panels are in great shape! Over the years, the fire department added a few aftermarket components including a paint-matched aluminum topper (can be offered to buyer), aftermarket brake controller (non-working) and radio (turns on but no signal). Mechanically the truck is pretty sound for its age, but does have a couple exhaust leaks and a slight pull, possibly due to tire age or imbalance. The tires have great tread, and don't show major checking or dry-rot, but are pretty old. Other than that, I wouldn't hesitate to drive the truck long distances.
Feel free to message or call me regarding the truck. Clear Minnesota title in hand. I am located about 35 minutes north of the Twin Cities in MN. Inspections and appointments to come look at the truck are encouraged! I pride myself on accuracy and can help answer any other questions to the best of my knowledge!
Thanks for looking!
