[isdntekvideo] INTERNATIONAL AND OVERSEAS BUYERS WELCOME! PLEASE CALL ME AT (76O) 805-8O3EIGHT WITH ANY QUESTIONS. I WILL BE HAPPY TO DO A BUY IT NOW FOR SERIOUS BUYERS. Pictures do not come close to doing this justice. If you want a true one of a kind Custom Van, THIS IS IT! This is a killer 1976 Chevrolet G10 1/2 ton Shorty Van that has been painstakingly re-done into the ultimate four wheel ride if you are a Chopper enthusiast. Our shop, Moreland Choppers, has been here in Solana Beach for about 30 years specializing in Vintage Choppers, Knuckleheads, and Panheads. This van was built to display all of the cool things around our little beach town (bikes, cars, good people, Hot Rods, sun, waves, Vans, hot Surfer Girls in bikinis, and good times. We chose not to show how much it costs to live here because that part sucks) and all of the David Mann pictures that were always hanging on our walls. This project started out with an original paint, 76kmile, completely rust free California 76 Chevy Shorty that we bought from the original owner and have had around for over 10 years. It was stripped to bare metal and then the real fun started.
After about a year of design, paint, airbrush, block sanding, and long hours the finished product could not have come out better in our opinion. If you tried to walk in off of the street and have this paintwork done somewhere, it would easily cost you tens of thousands of dollars. The finish is like glass. It was done only using the best materials, PPG paint, and tons of clearcoat. The amount of detail in the artwork is difficult to cover in an ad. You really need to see it to appreciate it but I did post a walk around video that you can click on above to get an idea. The van is fully done in high quality paint and airbrushed by hand. There are no stickers, wraps, or anything of that kind. We put our shop's contact information on the rear doors to be used as a rolling business card but it could easily be changed to your shop's info. It is a perfect advertising tool for your business. If you do not like attention for yourself or your shop, this is definitely not for you. THIS THING DRAWS A HUGE CROWD ANYWHERE!
David Mann was a well know California graphic artist whose paintings celebrated Biker culture and the evolution of the Chopper. He was known as the Biker World's Artist-in-Residence. He has been featured in numerous publications and was well known for his Easyrider work. His timeless style is unmistakable. The Chevy runs and drives like new. It has it's original 350 cubic inch small Block Chevy that was completely rebuilt. It has a steel crank, forged pistons, etc. so it will run this well for a long time. It is smooth, has plenty of power, drives right, shifts right, stops right, and has excellent street manners. The Turbo 350 three speed automatic transmission was fully rebuilt and shifts like new. The van has power steering, power front disc brakes and Ice Cold Vintage Air Conditioning. I would not hesitate to fly in and drive this one home to anywhere in the Good Ol' U S of A. This thing is a proven Road Warrior. After the mechanicals were done but before the paint was done, it was taken on an approximately 5000 mile road trip to Sturgis, South Dakota and then took the scenic route home. The rearend was fully rebuilt as well. The brakes were all gone through. Cragar SS wheels with new tires. I also have a set of spinners for the center hub of the Cragars if you prefer that over the center caps. Mechanically, I do not think this Van needs anything. It has approximately 8000 miles since the mechanics were gone through when the original miles on the van were at 76k. It now shows 84k.
The interior is in good condition. The front seats are nice. The carpeting is excellent. Wood paneling door panels. CD player. The only thing left to do is the side paneling and the headliner. We chose to leave those choices up to the new owner so you can go any direction you want with it. The wood was cut, mounted, and has plenty of insulation behind it. Dual Sunroofs front and back. The Chevy has not really been shown much so you will be the hit of any Car Show you take it to. Clean, clear CA title in hand. Currently smogged with current registration. It is ready to go. Fly in, drive home, and have the dream Road Trip Adventure of your life! The 1965 Corvette and 66 Chevelle S/S in the background are not for sale. The 1966 Nova Super Sport will be shortly. My dog Johnny Cash would not be included for all of the money in the world!
