1937 Chevrolet Other Pickups

Up for sale is "Sam", a 1937 Chevy C40 front clip mounted on a 66 GMC 3/4 Ton chassis. Widened and lengthened Ford bed sides and front with steel framed floor to fit 2 Harleys in the back (59" wide x 94" deep). 4 bolt main 350 Small Block with new crank bearings, crank, cam bearings, cam, and rings with all with around 5,000 miles or so, no odometer or speedometer. It does have a Tachometer so I gauge my speed off of that. It has a 4 speed manual trans with granny gear. The body has been chopped 6"s and body dropped around 4"s so it's kind of snug in there and I'm 6ft 180lbs. The arms for the brake and clutch have been shortened to accommodate the body drop so the clutch is a little tougher but I do just fine with it. The body had been widened to fit on the 66 chassis and basically welded and braced to the frame where needed to support it. I've driven it this way for the last 4 year's and is been a good truck for an old one and very unique. Not a show piece, but a fun driveable piece of art in my opinion. Edelbrok 650 carb, Metal flaked Edelbrok valve covers, Weiand intake, air scoop and bell housing. Power steering with "adapted" steering to fit narrow cab. Aluminum radiator, Harley handlebars and mirrors for mirrors, old redwood bed, decent tires, full size spare and spare gas can. Disc brake front conversion, not power assisted. Propane tank converted up fuel tank with sight gauge. Check all pictures. Runs and drives good for what it is but it is an old truck still. The hood comes off with either 3 wing nuts to open halfway up, or 6 wing nuts to remove it. I put a heater core and fan for a nice heating, coolant driven heater. There are windows that are tempered and roll up and down, with a little help. They are lightly tinted and cracked but look cool and still work. Here's a video of it running. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pIvXgyHOsB8
