1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Pro Street
Big engine, big tires, and big colors make this 1955 Chevrolet 210 Pro Street the vehicle of choice if you like making a big entrance. With an awesome Pro Street look and a street-friendly demeanor, it's the kind of car you can drive long distances and still rip off a few jaw-dropping passes at the strip. There are a lot of 1956 Chevys out there, that's true. It's a popular car, both then and now, and the... reasons folks fall in love with them are obvious. But to rise to the top, to have a car that can be driven and enjoyed, while delivering the kind of looks that makes kids and grown men stop in their tracks as it drives by, well, that's not as easy as it sounds. So, you'll definitely appreciate this car's beautiful Silver Metallic on Dark Blue Metallic paint scheme, which is a bit modern, but it's just subtle enough that it lets the bodywork do the talking. The finish is nearly show-quality, with good gaps and enough time invested in the bodywork to make it really stand out from lesser cars. All of the trim is new and bright as can be, which results in a car that still instantly identifiable but looks clean, sleek, and purposeful in the flesh, and that awesome hood has a custom scoop that really sets an aggressive tone. There's another sizeable chunk of change invested in getting the remaining chrome refinished, but the results were definitely worth it, as it sparkles like jewelry on this 210 and the overall look delivers in a big way. The interior is wonderfully subtle, and the outstanding execution and neat details make it an excellent place to spend some time. The original seats are still in place and wrapped in a custom cotton upholstery that looks plush and comfortable, and it'll leave onlookers wondering if it's better than the real thing. The dash was squirted in matching Blue Metallic, with the original speedometer still in place dead center in front of the driver. Vintage A/C is great addition to any classic and that's a B&M shifter down on the floor, and it controls the 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission below. The door panels match the pattern on the seats, the carpets are plush, and the custom steering wheel sits atop a tilt column for an added trick look inside. The trunk is finished with matching carpets, and you'll note that the battery was tucked in to free up some space up front. That's a thundering crate 502 cubic inch V8 and it's a neat fit in the '56 engine bay. Obviously, there was an extraordinary amount of time and effort dedicated to the engine bay, showcasing a hardcore look highlighted by the finned valve covers and matching air cleaner. It's a Generation VI 4-Bolt main block, accented with aluminum heads and fed through and Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and intake. A serpentine belt drive system runs the accessories, which look clean and modern, and there's a giant aluminum radiator with electric fans up front. The aforementioned 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission is an overdrive unit that spins a Ford 9-inch rear end. The chassis is heavily reinforced and uses custom front A-arms, heavy duty shocks and springs, power rack-and-pinion steering, and power 4-wheel disc brakes to bring the whole show to a quick stop. The stance is just right and those tough Weld wheels and staggered 205/75/15 front and 325/50/15 rear performance tires fit perfectly and finish the Pro Street look. With a huge pile of cash invested in the build, this spectacular car is still fresh and ready for years of fun down the road. Strip or street, it's up to you, and this 210 excels at both. Call today!
