1967 Chevrolet Chevelle # Matching 396 real 138 Code SS w/AC 4spd Restored

1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, Matching-number L35 396/325 HP engine, Real 138 code SS car. Date correct 4-speed Muncie manual transmission with new Hurst shifter. Equipped with new Vintage Air AC. Beautiful four-year-old restoration of a very straight, clean car. Matching number L35 396 cubic inch V8 with 325 horsepower and Holly 750 Carb.. Factory correct color combination, Marina blue with bright blue interior that'll stand out among all the red, black and yellow Chevelle's out there., A 4-speed gearbox that's... not only fun to throw, but absolutely bulletproof. The Chrome bumpers/handles/trim are in great condition with a shine that requires sunglasses. The stainless trim around the windows has just as high of shine to match the chrome. All new 'Super Sport' emblems, as well as the 'SS 396' badge on the rear end, completes the high-performance badging. The blue bucket seat interior is beautifully done, with correct seat covers, new carpets, ididit tilt steering column and lots of new shiny trim. The dashboard has been treated to an upgraded Dakota Dash featuring, blue backlit instruments and digital information center, the fuel, temp, tach, speedo, oil pressure and volts gauges are clearly lined up In front of the driver. A vintage looking radio fit's nicely in its factory opening, but this one's modern and packs a punch. That long chrome Hurst shifter manages a Muncie 4-speed manual gearbox. New carpets, "Chevelle" embossed Floor mats, new bright work throughout the dash and interior, clean center console, new seat belts, Polished Aluminum steering wheel w/color matching grip add to the well sorted interior (the original restored SS steering wheel comes with the car, see trunk photo for pic). The passenger side window stays up about and inch when rolled down. The back seat is completely unused and the trunk is tastefully outfitted in black carpet with custom made side panels, a tucked up concealed box with a few speakers and hidden amps, finished off with an original style rubber mat. The backup lights are present but not hooked up. This car is powered by its original, numbers-matching L35 engine that was rated at 325 horsepower, which is still a pretty stout piece. That means torque lots of effortless, mountainous torque! It starts easily, idles well, and has great street manners. It was rebuilt to stock specs, but is equipped with a few upgrades to improve it's user experience. Included upgrades are: Aluminum radiator, twin electric fans, Flaming River tilt steering column, 2" drop spindles and springs. It's also nicely dressed with correct Chevy Orange paint, chrome valve covers, correct air cleaner with decals. Power steering and upgraded four-wheel power disc brakes and slotted/crossed drilled rotors on all four corners. Making this a car that's very user-friendly and a lot of fun to drive. Underneath, it's clean and straight, with only a small sign of corrosion on the floor pans. The drivers and passenger side wear cut out and replaced and the backs patched. The remaining floors are clean. The frame and all suspension pieces are clean, solid and smooth. They've all been painted and the bushings replaced at the time of restoration. The Muncie 4-speed was rebuilt and tucked back into place, and the original cast iron exhaust manifolds feed a fresh Flowmaster dual exhaust system that sounds awesome. Out back, there's a new gas tank and the factory rear end. It's also wearing 17-inch Boss wheels in front and 18-inch in the rear, wrapped in BF Goodrich radial tires all the way around. These are popular cars and it's easy to see why. This one gets big points for its matching-numbers Big Block engine, True SS 138 code, 4-speed transmission, Bucket seats, AC and totally sorted road manners.
