Super Clean Build, 383 Stroker V8, 700R4 Auto, Cold A/C, Marina Blue
1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS Tribute
This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS Tribute is one of those cool cars that takes all that's great about the Camaro and adds a few custom touches. With a great-running, built 383 stroker under the hood that churns a 700R4 automatic transmission, this bright blue Camaro is the one we all wished for when we were kids. Finished in Marina Blue with a pair of white stripes that have punched up with some pearl in the mix,... it perfectly captures the blend of elegance and performance that identified the Camaro from the very start. Adding a chin spoiler and a factory-style ducktail spoiler emphasizes the Camaro's aggressive look, and it was finished to a great standard 5,616 miles ago. The paint still looks fresh and shows a depth and shine suggesting many hours were spent prepping and sanding the surface, and an equal amount of time was invested buffing the paint once it had been applied. A cowl hood is always a great choice and it carries an SS gas cap, a good indicator that there's something potent under the hood, and the trim and brightwork is new and looks fantastic. Looking at this one in person, it's hard to beat a first-generation F-body for the perfect blend of aggression and style. The code 717 Light Blue interior boasts a set of fresh reproduction seat covers front and back, as well as replacement door panels and correct carpets on the floor. Everything was optional on the early Camaros, so there aren't a lot of options, but it does have a middle console that houses a T-handle shifter for the automatic transmission and anything that wasn't included has been added along the way. You'll find Dakota Digital gauges that replaced the stock units in the dash, a late-model Budnik steering wheel with a fat, grippy rim that sits atop a tilt column, and a nice-sounding Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo head unit in the dash feeds RSX Treo speakers throughout the cabin. The headliner is taut, the carpets are plush, and even the OEM seatbelts were refurbished for a correct look. Open the trunk and you'll find it finished with durable carpet, with plenty of room for all your car show goodies. Rumbling under the hood today is a stout GM Performance crate 350 V8 that's been punched out with a 400 crank and roller rockers to make a 383 stroker that's built for battle. With a nice combination of upgrades, including an Edelbrock high-rise intake manifold, Edelbrock 650CFM carburetor, high-output oil pump, and an HEI ignition, it's a fantastic runner with lots of power. The engine bay shows well with chrome valve covers and a black K&N air cleaner, black paint on the block, and bright blue plug wires that match the bodywork. A heavy-duty aluminum radiator with 2 polished electric fans keep it cool without a fuss. Long-tube headers feed a new 2.5-inch, X-pipe dual exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers, and believe me, this sucker snarls. And as long as you're under there, have a look at the 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission that's built with a shift-kit and 2200 stall convertor, the 10-bolt rear end, gas shocks, and front disc brakes, all of which make this car feel far younger than it is. Keeping the car planted are those gorgeous staggered Ridler 650 wheels, which wear 235/45/17 front and 255/45/18 rear performance radials. This cool Camaro hardtop is one of those once-in-a-lifetime cars: a nicely built, tastefully modified early Camaro with all the right gear, ready to rock. What else do you need? Call today!
