1979 Chevrolet Other Pickups Custom Deluxe

This 1979 Chevrolet C10 Custom Deluxe is far from stock, but you already knew that from the first impression. But beyond the custom paint job and aggressive stance is a comfortable one-off interior and a great-running 350 V8. And all these custom touches that make up this sweet truck can be had for a price that is just a fraction of the build cost. You're looking at a very custom pickup, and you can instantly tell there was... a ton invested in this one when it was a few years back. All you really have to do to appreciate the hard work is see the modern red paint's luster element radiate in the sunshine, augmented by the decals that are enhanced with gold leaf accents. The stepside bed has a great flared fender appearance that really has helped start the vintage custom truck movement, and there's a good amount of time invested in making this whole pickup look exceptionally unique. You can see it up front with the shiny chrome bumper and a killer billet grille. Along the sides there's the smooth body with a crisp crease line that erases decades of going to work. In the rear the bumper was painted to match the body, but the real treat is the imported cedar lumber in the bed. After all, part of the stepside's appeal was that they still used real wood truck beds. It's all finished off with an aggressive stance thanks to those large bullet-hole wheels on a lowered suspension. The interior provides the right comfort you want from a truck like this, flashy enough to show off at a show but also sturdy enough to handle a lot of mileage. The dark red and white bench is quite comfortable and is adorned with a custom pattern and "Chevrolet" threadwork, and the door panels still carry some of the style that reminds us of our favorite vintage C10s. These Chevy trucks were famous for a dash that wrapped around you, and so it's an easy reach to everything, including the controls for the Sony AM/FM/CD/AUX head unit. A B&M handle tops the shifter that controls the 4-speed manual, and when you grab the aftermarket steering wheel, it's very tempting to drive this truck to the limit. Plush carpets are in good shape and provide a decent amount of sound-deadening, and all the metal inside the cab has been painted to match the red exterior. All-in-all, a very tidy interior. This C10's powerplant has been configured with a good deal of thought, resulting in a great blend of aftermarket power and factory dependability. The 350 cubic inch V8 is armed with an aluminum Edelbrock intake manifold, an Edelbrock 600CFM 4-barrel carb and a nice, moderate performance cam to add some extra muscle, and the exhaust note this combination sends out of the long tube headers leading to a pair of Cherry Bomb turbo-style mufflers will announce your arrival with authority. The engine teams with a 4-speed manual transmission that carries a decided advantage over the more commonly encountered automatics, allowing for the driver to really challenge the definition of a shift-point. Factory front disc brakes provide plenty of stopping ability, while the power steering is nice and smooth for easy navigation. Finishing the look, this custom configured pickup rides on a set of 15" aftermarket bullet-hole wheels outfitted with blackwall radial tires. ' This is a fully-built custom pickup that's easy to live with every day. Who knew standing out in all the best ways could be so affordable. Call today!!!
